Computer won't recognize one e250 player

Here is the situation: my husband had an e250, and I was able to download music and videos to it only once. I then bought an e250 and have been able to successfully download music and videos to it several times, but now our computer will not recognize my husband's e250. The device keeps shutting on and off, the Sansa Converter program temporarily recognizes the device and then rejects it, and Windows Media Player will not recognize the device (plus the "sync" link is greyed out). Please advise as soon as possible - my husband is planning to return both devices to the store.

My computer suddenly stoped recognizing my Sandisk e250 in the MTP mode. I can see it in the MSC mode but my e250 will not play and indicates it is empty... My computer knows that a devise has been connected but cannot seem to communicate with it.

HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD MUSIC FROM CDS ON MY SANSA MP3 PLAYER? LISA

To put music on your Sansa e250 you will do this: Download Windows Media Player 9 or 10 to your computer. I would use Media Player 10 as it is the newer player. After you download Media Player 9 or 10 open it up on your computer, and then hook up your mp3 player, it should be recognized by Media Player and then you can transfer the songs to it. You need to put the music cd in your computer cd player and download the songs to Media Playeer using Windows Media Player 9 or 10. I have also included a website where you can download the user manual, it will say e200, but the instructions are also for the e250. Good Luck, I hope this helps. Please rate me, Thank You. http://mp3support.sandisk.com/downloads/um/sansa-m200-um.pdf

How do i download music? i'm not reconized by computer . sansa e250

To have your system recognize your Sansa as a disk drive do the following:

1. Turn off the player.

2. Connect the usb cable to the computer. Do not connect it to the player.

3. Slide the lock switch to the right. You will see an orange strip.

4. Connect the usb cable to the player.

5. The player should appear in your computer as an external disk. Copy your music from the player to your computer, or viceversa.

I purchase more memory for my sansa e250 player and when i go to download music from my mediaplayer it doesnt recognize that i added more memory

the extra memory is considered a seperate drive and is recognized by your computer. Try moving the files you have from the normal internal memory to your backup drive so that you can download to internal again. (Via your computer and dragging and dropping)

It doesn´t recognized the music files

is the music files in the music folder? (its a hidden folder stupidly enough so is hidden files turned on in your operating system?)
are they mp3 or wav files? If the answers are no - now you know why.

My sansa e250 mp3 player is unable to connect to computer nor recognized to use .It won`t turn on change the modes

turning on to change modes is your problem. If it's completely dead you may need to replace it or refurbish it. Or if the battery is completely dead plug it in all day until you can get it to turn on. ONCE ON then you can worry about getting it to connect. Try this:
There are two connection settings in USB: MTP and MSC. For some reason MTP is the default, but it doesn't connect properly on all computers. Select MSC and plug the player in again, the computer will recognize sansa e250 but not show the driver just yet. It is installing recognition software (just basic drivers - nothing heavy) and it doesnt tell you what its doing until its complete. WAIT FOR IT. Once it is complete you will see both the sansa e250 and the removable memory slot in your "my computer" now you're good to go.

What Videos can be downloaded

This player is better for the YouTube-type videos - short ones. If the Sansa Media Converter that came with the installation CD won't recognize some of your video files, download Riva FLV Encoder and convert the non-recognized videos to AVI format, and then run it through the Media Converter. This player does not usually recognize copyrighted music videos.

Computer will not recognize Sansa e250 MP3 Player

You need to first update your firmware with a windows based computer (one update at a time in order). This will solve a ton of issues. Finally change the "USB Mode" to "MSC" with in the settings menu and you can enjoy your player

Music Videos

I'm not an expert, but I do have a Sansa e250, too. Sounds like you need to download a Sansa Media Converter.

Here's the link: http://www.sandisk.com/driverdownload/download.asp?driverId=184

Once that is downloaded and installed, open it, plug your Sansa into the computer by USB cable, click "Add media". Then you should see a window that says "Add media" Select the media you want to put on your Sansa. Once the media is added, then click "Convert". After it is finished converting, it should be on your Sansa. Hope that helps!

Sansa 250 - Having problems downloading music?

You could try opening the folder(s) with your saved music and highlight all the ones you want to transfer to your mp3 player and then right click on one of the highlighted files, left click on Copy, then go to My Computer > Sansa e250 mp3 player should be listed in there, double click on it, then right click in a open white area and left click Paste. It should copy the music right to your player. You could also try using Rhapsody and import your music into it. I use Rhapsody for transferring music to my e250 Sansa mp3 player.
