Check to see if there are any scratches on the disc. Scratches or marks on discs will render game discs unplayable or will freeze the game and will often show a message stating “Disc Read Error” or something to that effect. With some scratched discs, the data cannot be read and the game console may not even recognize the discs at all, giving you error messages etc. Best remedy for starters, is to try clean the discs and make sure there are no smudges or dirt marks left on the play-side of the discs. If there are any scratches on the discs, they will need repairing.
Most Game Discs, DVD’s and CD’s can be fixed quite easily back to “As Good As New Condition”. Some home remedies or cheap repair kits may help with some light marks or very light scratches on some discs, but a professional disc repair service is usually required to repair any discs with anything more than very light scratches.

Hope this Helps!!!
Hi rico617,
There could be a couple of causes, and there could be a
couple of solutions. The solutions may not be too fun though.
First
possible problem:
1. Your discs could be scratched. If that's
the case, clean them off as best you can with a soft cloth and all that.
If that's not the case......
2. It could be that your disc drive
is messed up.
If 1. didn't solve your problem, than here are
some possible solutions regarding 2.
1. Your lens could be dirty, in which
case you can try a lens cleaner (probably not the problem)
2. For
many with this problem, formatting their hard drive (yes their hard
drive, not disc tray) solves the problem. Unfortunately that's a major
bummer because you'll lose everything on the drive.
3. If you're
brave enough to go through the second one and it still doesn't solve it,
you're going to have to send it in for repairs cause it looks like the
disc tray is having incompatibility issues with your games (yeah I know it's dumb)
Best of
luck man :)
Inspect and clean your disc Take a close look at the
bottom side of your game, movie, or music disc (the side without a label or
image). Are there scratches? Excessive scratches or smudges can prevent your
console from reading the disc. Clean your disc Hold the disc by
the edges without touching the top or bottom surfaces. Using a soft,
clean, slightly damp cloth, lightly wipe from the center of the disc outward.
· Note Use ONLY water to
clean the disc.
·
Once the disc is clean, load the disc into your
console and see if the disc plays.
