Port fowarding Hi I had a hub working for two years the other day I had to reset my linksys box and now I cant get on my hub I dont remember what I did when I connected it first I think it was port fowarding but not sure can you help

Hi the default password for linksys unless you or someone has changed it is:
USERNAME: leave it blank PASSWORD:admin
If this would not work and you cant access the Linksys you need to reset the router by poking the reset hole at the back of it.Thanks

please check if the x-box is working properly with the modem provided by your internet service provider. If yes, update the firmware of your router and reset it once.

Make sure that the frame encapsulation is set on the router to 802.1q on each of the sub-interfaces. You could also try fixing the speed and duplex on both the router and the switch in case there is a problem negotiating the speed and duplex.

Most liklely you shouldn't do this unelss you are willing to do the work to properly ground the cables on each end. I'm pretty sure your hub iuses a DC power brick so it won't handle it for youm you'll have to build a breakout box of some sort to do this. Remember that if the cable isn't grounded properly on each end it will actually make things worse.

Running at 10M with Cat 6 cable it is highly unlikely that you will have issues with electrical interferecne even with the the undesirable routing of the cables in your house.

hmm.. router? try to check the router if it has an reset switch then press it with in 5-10 seconds...

you may need to open the ports for the linksys Router aswell
because the linksys links the belkin to the internet there using a shared connection

once youve fowarded the ports properly check to see if you have enabled the UPNP on both of the routers if they have any

Did you move the router out of range of the computer? It sounds like you put it back where it was but I just thought I'd ask.

Otherwise, use your wired connection to check the router settings. It is possible that the wireless settings defaulted due to the disconnection. You can either set the router to match your wireless computer if you can remember, or just set up a fresh wireless connection between the two.

Try to reset computer by unplugging for 1 hours and put it back after 1hour. If the reset did not work try using an usb powered hub in the middle, this sometimes fix the problem.
If the HDD still does not work after the above then it is probably faulty.

In the firewall option, direct those ports to the IP of your Xbox. I don't have an xbox, but I would think there is someway to set a static IP on it. That way DHCP won't change your xbox ip when you reboot it. Some routers allow you to assign a specific IP to the xbox, but not sure about yours.
