Pentax ME Super 35mm SLR

I am looking to downloading an operating manual for my Pentax ME Super 35mm SLR camera. I'm not finding one on the internet, could you please help if you can.

    I tried on Google to search for the manual for Pentax ME Super 35mm SLR camera, none of the cameras matched mine.

    I also went to www.pentax/manuals.com to search for the manual and was not successful in matching my camera with any of the information on this site.

    Are there any other sites that may be helpful, the camera is appr. 25years old.

    Go to robertstech.com/pentax and click Pentax service manual. This web site was the second one on the first page of a google search. I found a manual for Pentax ME Super. It appears to be homemade. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I have never used a pentax me super, is there a comprehensive manual that will help me learn about 35mm cameras?
You can download a copy of the manual from here. You might also want to check out some local public libraries and/or used book stores. Some of them might have some older photography books dealing with 35mm cameras.

How do I properly set the self-timer to work on a Pentax ME Super SLR?
Push the lever on the front of the camera counterclockwise until it stops. To start the self-timer, push up slightly on the lever.

Mirror is locked open
Unless you have experience repairing cameras, this is not a DIY fix. Take your camera to a reputable camera shop and have a trained professional look at it.

Pentax me super camera
Hey judyrosebudd,
You should be able to use any flash that is not dedicated to another camera manufacturer. Even though the manufacturer lists this camera as a dedicated flash unit it still has the sync contact in the center of the hot shoe mount, which is all that is required to operate a all manual flash. This being said a dedicated flash should provide much more advanced options and simplicity of use. I hope this helps!

Hi could you answer a question for me about the pentax mv
The Pentax MV has a similar body and uses the same lenses as the Pentax ME Super, but it is a fully "Auto Exposure" camera. It does not have manual override or shutter-priority modes. It is a good camera to take pictures, but not if you want to have full manual / creative control over the camera.

Major Pentax ME Super 35mm SLR Camera Problem!!!
The mirror box control mechanism needs servicing ( rubber parts have perished and are gumming up the workings of the mirror mechanism so shutter is not workingrking) . Unfortunatelly this requires complete strip down and so should be done professionally.
