You can download the service manual here: http://www.polaroidsupport.com/polaroid/en_us-sm.html
Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

First of all, check your input source on your TV.
Turn on TV.
Press the Input button on your remote.
Make sure the Source Input matches the corresponding device that is wired on the back of the TV.

Polaroid FLM-3732 Television turns on then off

A common problem with this television is the power unit. Some of the capacitors go out on them within 2 years. You can buy a replacement power unit for about $150 or if you know how to use a soldering gun you can purchase the capacitors for about $5 and fix the unit yourself.

I just fixed my Polaroid 3732 and it cost me $3.49. I would push the power button and the standby light would come on but the picture would not appear. After I changed the capacitors it starts right up.

Doesn't turn on

Pretty good chance the power supply board is bad. A number of capacitors will become leaky and you lose all power. Some techs still know how to do component Laval service but most just change the board $$$$

FLM 2601

Hi,

We have the same problem and what worked for us (until now) is holding it in until it comes on. Used to be just a few minutes but now I prop a book next to it. Last time, I just left it on with a screen saver on my PC which worked until the power went out. I think it's a power supply issue.

Power problem - Polaroid FLM 2601

The Flm2601 is plagued with a poorly designed SMPS and needs to be replaced... The ONLY outlet selling those is Fox International and the PS model number is #MLT166A... I do have the manual for that PS but it won't do much good - it usually buldges several 16v caps when it goes then goes into a domino failure...
Good news is the supplies aren't expensive, I think the last one I bought was around $70.00 dollars and it's a plug and play.
