My 26" lcd television FLM-2601 polaroid is not working it constantly stays in standby mode you push power button and blue light flicks on then goes right back into standby mode how do i fix this?

First of all, check your input source on your TV.
Turn on TV.
Press the Input button on your remote.
Make sure the Source Input matches the corresponding device that is wired on the back of the TV.

26" Flat panel TV lost power.

The reset button on TVs is a thing of the past. The small pop you heard was very likely a part blowing up, probably a capacitor. They are under lots of stress because manufacturers use parts that run very close to their maximum ratings (lower cost that way) and sometimes they just can't handle it. Without seeing the set I can't tell you any specific part to check, but it will probably be in the power supply. A service shop could check it out and give an estimate for repair, or you could open the set yourself and look for obviously popped parts.

Doesn't turn on

Pretty good chance the power supply board is bad. A number of capacitors will become leaky and you lose all power. Some techs still know how to do component Laval service but most just change the board $$$$

Polaroid FLM-2601 Power

First off replacing the caps is not easy even for a tech. Double surface boards are soldered on both sides. The caps have a value printed on them like 1000@63 They also have polarity " they have to be put in in a certain direction" If you do something wrong you blow the works. Best to have it done by a tech.

The part number is 6LM00220G0 and is priced at $80.54 at circuit city repair. It is easy to install once you remove the cover from the back of the TV and the housing for the power supply.
