Dont know where to save username and password

Hi Dominique,

Go to www.gmail.com and select "Need help?" and then select I don't know my password. From there you will need to enter your gmail username, or an email address associated with the account to have a password reset link sent to you.

If you are trying to access the router itself via it's IP address (192.168.X.1) where X is usually 0, 1 or 2...
The username and password should both be admin
if not, try no username with admin as the password, or try admin as the username with no password.

you may want to turn off autofill in your internet options this feature fills out your forms and password automatically it is in your internet options advance section

Here is a quick fix for resetting your Mac password.

1. Hold Apple+S when your Mac is booting to enter "single-user" mode.
2. Type "sh /etc/rc" without the quotes.
3. Type "passwd USERNAME" without the quotes, replace USERNAME with your actual Mac username you forgot the password to.
4. Reboot your Mac by typing "reboot" without the quotes.

Try logging in with your own username and password. If not try 'Administrator" and leave the password blank. If that doesnt work and you dont know any other usernames or passwords you'll need to bring the laptop to a repair centre and have them use a special disk to access the administrator password. Every copy of Windows origonally has an Administrator account, if you dont know its details then you need to get the password reset.

Generally the default username and password are

username = admin
password = admin

Connect modem to the internet port of the wrt54g
Connect pc to port 2 of the wrt54g
Reset the wrt54g, push reset button for 30seconds with the power on, uplug the power for 10 seconds
Open internet explorer, type 192.168.1.1, you will be asked to login, no username, password is admin. This will take you to the router page. On the page you will se AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION DHCP, change that to PPPOe, enter your broadband username and password. Click save settings at the buttom of the page. YOU WILL ONLY GET CONNECTION IF YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD IS CORRECT.
