Does an acer aspire one have a built in microphone

If it has a built in webcam, then it has a built in microphone (usually a hole next to webcam). Otherwise, use a cheap headset.

Does labtec webcam 1200 have a built in microphone? How can I tell and if my own pc has one or not?

The labtec webcam 1200 does not have a built in microphone. Reference: http://www.labtec.com/index.cfm?countryid=1003&languageid=1&page=gear/listing&crid=30
Most desktops do not have a built in microphone, with exceptions of the ones that come built into the monitor. You find that most sound cards have an input jack to connect a microphone. To be sure if your computer does or does not, the make and model of your computer would be needed to check the computer specifications.

I have a acer with the acer crystal eye webcam built in it. do it have a microphone with it. if so how do I get it to work?

The Acer with crystal eye webcam will also have a built-in microphone. The webcam is in the center at the top of the screen. The built-in microphone is typically half-way between the edge of the screen and the webcam. It is a little opening with a microphone logo beside it. You can test both audio input with the built-in microphone and the audio output with the built-in speakers by doing the following....
1. click start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices
2. in the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties click the Voice tab, then click the Test hardware button
3. in the Sound Hardware Test Wizard window click the Next button, if required, click unblock...
4. speak into microphone to do the Microphone Test. Recording meter will show movement if it works.
5. click Next button to do the Speaker Test. Microphone input is now output on the speakers.
6. click Next button when finished doing the readings and click Finish to close the wizard.

Do toshiba satellites c655 have a built in mic?

The Toshiba Satellite C655 does not have a built in microphone, but it does have a mono microphone jack.
The following website has microphones that are compatible with the microphone jack. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007675%20600011221&IsNodeId=1&name=3.5mm
You may verify at Toshiba's C655 website. It says "No Webcam and microphone built into LCD bezel". http://us.toshiba.com/computers/laptops/satellite/C650/C655-S5049
Compared with the L670. It says "Webcam and microphone built into LCD bezel". http://us.toshiba.com/computers/laptops/satellite-pro/L670/L670-EZ1710
I hope this answers your question.

Webcam when connected they can see me but cant hear me

When you bought it, did you check to make sure it has a microphone built in? Also, do you have the microphone volume turned up loud enough?

If your webcam has not got a built-in microphone then you need to purchase a separate microphone or you could go back to the shop and swap it for one that has one :)

No, you'll have to buy a microphone and plug it into the microphone jack on the chassis.

If you buy a webcam, many have a built-in microphone in the webcam.
