Select Sound Mode 'User' using the "EQ" button
Enter Adjustment mode by pressing the "down" arrow on 4-way
Use the "Dial' to select a level
Use left and right to select a tone

What does SCM MEAN ON MY JVC CD PLAYER S590? ALSO WHAT DOES SS

Hi,

scm might stand for skip-continuously-mode where songs play in no particular order. To be sure, we would need to look at the list of modes in your device's manual. These are where all acronyms are usually explained.

Thank you.

How set bass on kd g340

Do you have User manual? If not, it can be downloaded from jvc website: http://books.jvc.com/booklist.asp?Model=kd-g340. Refer to page 20. Press EQ, then use up/dn to select mode, then use right/left to select tone, then use vol to adjust.

What are good settings to have to make the music sound clear for a jvc KD-R310 deck?

you will need to access the bass and treble setting on the unit.
If you have stnadard speaker then dont put the bass to high as you can not turn the volume up high.
The same for the treble.
Set them at about the same and turn the volume up until it sounds good.
If it is to quiet then turn the treble and bass down and then the volume up more

Need to wire JVC model KD-G340 into a 97 Kia Sephia

Do not cut the wires from the car. Instead, call Crutchfield at 888-955-6000 and order the adapter part number 120701003. When you call them, ask for color coding. For JVC, refer to the attached picture. Match the adapter color code with that of JVC. If the adapter color code is the same, then connect ground (black), battery (yellow), and wire from ignition switch (red) securely. Turn on the car and see the radio works. If it works, connect one by one speakers and confirm. Remember, perfect connection gives reliable installation.

I can't figure out how to adjust the bass on the JVC KD-HDR30.

Hello hawk713, Like with many other JVC receivers, adjusting the bass is done from the "EQ" (equalizer) mode for one or all of 6 presets: ROCK, CLASSIC, JAZZ, HIP HOP, POPS, and USER. To adjust it, select the desired preset mode, use the left/right rocker (on volume control) to scroll to the desired frequency, 60, 150, 400, 1K, 2.4K, 6K, and 15K, and then turn the volume control up/down to set a level from -5 to +5. 60 and 150 adjusts the bass, 400, 1K, and 2.4K adjusts the midrange, and 6K and 15K adjusts the treble. Then you select whichever EQ setting sounds best with the particular music you're playing. Hope this helps.
