I need a replacement power switch for a Technics SU-V78 amplifier . Where can I order one.

Hi, I was wondering if you can give some main pointers on how to change the power switch? I also had a broken one and have to replace it by a new one and can't seem to find too much info about it online.

The Panasonic part number is: ESB8249V

This part is listed as no longer available from Panasonic, but I believe that it is available generically. Try calling the tech line at MCM electronics. They should have a substitute that will fit and work.

Technics Amplifier SU-V4

The clicking sound will be a relay for the protection circuit. That could be faulty, but first check out the main devices on the main amp section. Those attached to the big heat sink. If you see a single IC amp that could well be faulty.

I have a Technics SU-V460 Integrated Amplifier that won't stay on....the power button doesn't stay pushed in. When I hold it in, it works but the button makes a crackle sound.

It sounds like the switch might be broken. It might need to be replaced.

This happens when one or more components in the power amplifier section has failed.

The protect circuit keeps large DC voltages off the speakers.

The only thing you can check for before finding a tech is that the speakers are firmly connected at both ends. If they are ok, you need a tech
