I have nokia n95 for last couple of weeks I am not able to charge it. The phone does turn on when the batery is fully charge, but when you put the phone on charge it does show that phone is charging but it does not charge.

If the hard format code mentioned aboive does not work, try the following manual method to hard reset/format Nokia N95:
+ Turn off the mobile device.
+ Press and Hold the following three buttons: the green Call Answer button, the "*" button, and the number "3? button.
+ While holding these buttons, turn on the phone and keep holding the
keys untill the mobile phone restarts and prompts you to enter details.
is your battery easily fully charge when you charge it? and easily went down after?? if yes, that migth be battery failure.. if not, there can be some shortage in your phone.
Number 1, Which model is it ?
Number 2 if it is a Nokia N95, attempt to turn the phone on by removing the battery, wait a couple of minutes, then put the battery back and try to turn it on.
If it does not work, leave it off for a couple of Hours and repeat the same process.

Nokia phones can be reformatted with a special three-stroke keystroke sequence on power-up. When turning the phone on, press and hold all these three keys at the same time: "GREEN/TALK" ," 3" and " * " when powering up the phone. When formatting begins, release the keys. Ensure the battery is fully charged.
n95 is a powerfull phone, and needs alot of energy... but 12 hours are not much....
1. check if there are some aplications runing in the background.... 2. did you charge your batery, the first time you turned your phone on? i meen did you charge it to top? rechargable bateries can lose alot of power, if you do not charge them up FULL, on the begining... 3. try some other batery, and se how it reacts, if you still hve the same problem, it could be a phone error
nokia n95 8gb is not a nokia is a fake.a real nokia it doesen't even work to charge the batery with usb.and nokia pc suite will never recognize this kind of phones.if u want to connect to pc suite buy a real nokia
when a nokia n95 switches off and on, all you have to do is put a sim that doesnt work anymore then you have to switch the n95 on and wait for 30 minutes, then the n95 will stop from on and off, the laguage will be set to france mode..
