XP Crashed. Cannot Re-Install. Pls Help!

I have XP SP3 installed in my laptop. Suddenly virus attacked and nothing was functioning, specially any EXE file. I have lost my original XP CD and had a OEM XP CD. I used the OEM CD to reinstall XP over the current one, and now its saying ''This copy of Windows is not genuine; you may be a victim of software counterfeiting''. I cannot use internet, no USB drives are recognized!!! Then I have created a boot CD and tried to boot from that CD so that I can completely remove XP and install from the scratch. Now, Boot Disk does not recognize hard drive. I cannot go to C drive. Any solution?

I am using Windows XP SF3. I guess my laptop is attacked with a nasty virus as it has disabled my task manager, regedit and it doesnt even allow me to use any antivirus programs like mcfee, avast, panda,...

Norton Anti Virus is possibly the only programme that will be successful in removing the virus.
Unfortunately XP is not supported by a lot of manufacturers any more but as you have SP3 you could be lucky when downloading updated drivers from the manufacturers web site.
Run avti virus first and then CHKDSK/F to attempt to repair the errors left by the virus.
Hope this helps.

I have a big problem. I think I have viruses on my computer but the most antivirus software I have don't scan the viruses. I tried using chkdsk and it didn't help me. I can't defragment my hard drive,...

There are several options, both free and paid, to help you resolve this and protect your system from future attacks. While the paid options have more bells and whistles, the free systems are adequate for most users.

One of the top free options is Microsoft Security Essentials. Here's the download link: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
After you download the file:

Double click the exe file to run it.
Follow the instructions given to you.
When installation has completed, the program will open, update virus definition and you can start a scan of your system. Follow the instructions given to remove any flagged files.

My command prompt is not working due to virus attack. now can u tell me how to reinstall the command.exe?

For virus/trojan/spyware problems I would recommend you to go here:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/

Security Center> Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help> click the red "First Steps"

Follow there instructions. It will take sometime to fix, but they have Pro's who help for free.

"If you 100% know what you are doing here you go."

1. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32 and find
cmd.exe
Double click it. Does the window open? If not go to

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Windows XP

Scroll down to "Line 228" on the right hand side, you will find Restore CMD.EXE click it.
Download to desktop then install.

yes, you need to install a special, Aspire One version of XP. This is a driver issue generally. You must either use the install DVD from Acer or get a specially made version with all necessary drivers built in. Format the Drive and reinstall windows. from that media.

How do I install windows xp pro sp3 on my Toshiba L355 S7812 laptop? Each time I try to install windows setup can not find the hard disk.

Check in your bios if it sees your HDD in there, typically it is F1, F2 or DEL key while posting.
Is the laptop running an OS?

Aspire 5800 Web cam cannot connect

When you select the driver from the Acer WEB site, make sure you select your model laptop and the XP version of the driver.
The latest service pack for XP is SP3, I suggest you install it, try and get a copy of SP3 on CD because it is approx 350Mb in size and would take a long time to download.
