Well city water has a pH of 5.5 which means it will corode silicon motherboards aka ipod touch motherboard the best thing to do is put it in a bag of rice for a day then let it dry out for 2 days with out carging it or turning it on. DO NOT USE A BLOW DRYER it will melt ports and cause more damage than it will fix low heat maybe a heating vent but about a foot away thats all you can it may work no promise though

Shorted out ipod touch

Unfortunately you probably have to get a new iPod, but you could take it to the nearest Apple store and ask if they could get the data back.

I dropped my ipod into the toilet and now it has the white screen and i don't know how to fix it without spending a lot of money???

You are not going to want to hear this, but. Whenever water and electronics come in to contact, especially if ON, at the time, then, the is an instantaneous electrochemical, reaction, and the resultant effect, is complete unrecoverable damage. I have seen countless "Immersed" units, over the years, and only about 1% have ever been resurrected.

Well the screen can be fixed by sending it to apple or one of many other repair shops. The water is the hard part. Your best bet is to fill a zip lock bag with dry rice and put your ipod inside and leave it for a week and maybe the rice will pull the moisture out. Water is a killer but once it dries out, you might be lucky. In the end it may cost more to repair than its worth.

My ipod fell into the toilet, what should I do?

Get your iPod in a bag of rice, and keep it there for maybe a few days, it should **** out all the moisture, hopefully it wasn't on when it was dropped in, but give it a shot.

My drop my ipod touch in the toilet, what can do?

first off DON'T try and turn it on get a bowl of dry rice and bury the ipod in it and let it sit for a few days check it every day and if the rice is wet this is good its absorbing the water and change the rice out, with any luck this will dry it out completely DON'T try and turn it on until your 100% sure its completely dry hope and pray that this works if it doesn't then sorry

The light on my ipod touch dose not turn on?

hold the sleep button for about 5-6 seconds and restart it. Try that a few times, and then if that does not work, connect it to the computer and hit the 'restore' button and see if it will restore the light. Try to charge it also, sometimes that will help.
