I had a diagnostic done on my tv and they said that i need a new pcb and t-con with repair estimate of $790 what are these parts and can I install them myself?

I can't advise you to replace any particular PCB because testing must be done to back up any parts replacement decision..

Go to any TV parts supplier online and enter your model and make of TV, then follow the parts listings, the Timing Control PCB may be part of the main PCB.

Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS.....ribbon cables between main & T-CON PCB, cable between t-con & panel, T-Con PCB & lastly, the panel itself. If panel replace TV!

Hello, try this:
open the rear cover, check the connection between the PCB and PCB T-Con (pcb attached to the panel). open and clean the socket on the PCB T-con. If still lines appear , I think the problem comes from the PCB T-con.
Contact service center to repair your TV set.

Replace C81A2,C81A3, C81B3 AND C81B4 (1000uFD, 16 V) On DM PCB.
Replace C8F19, C8F21, C8F22 and C8F27 (1000uFD, 16 V) On FMT PCB.
Replace C9A51, C9A52, C9A61, C9A62 On power PCB.

REPLACE ALL WITH (680uFD, 16V, 105c), part number 181P734030.

Replace C9A37 and C9A38 ON POWER PCB. (3300uFD, 16 V).

ps; Three boards on left side of TV and about 2.5 to 3 hours of repair time and make sure company is factory authorized.

1. Self-diagnosis error 4-4, check for open F9A06 part # 283P128050 on the Power PCB. 2. Self-diagnosis error 4-4, check for proper seating of the DVI cable between the FMT PCB and the DMD (Light Engine). It may be necessary to disconnect and reconnect this cable to insure proper connection. 3. Self-diagnosis error 4-4, if F9A06 is good and the connection on the DVI cable between the FMT PCB and DMD are secure, suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977020 4. Self-diagnosis error 4-4, check F9A07 part # 283P128050 on the Power PCB, if open suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977020 5. Self-diagnosis error 4-1, suspect the Power PCB part # 930B929001
