My Canon Imageclass MF6550 says the memory is full. How do I fix this? It is not hooked up to a computer so I do not know why I would need to download a driver for it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have seen this fault before on the 6550. It for some reason it thinks you are updating the firmware.
I suspect you have lost the firmware in the scnt board. You will need to download it from canon's site and follow the instructions to update the firmware. It may just work. If not then the scnt board is screwed and will need replacing.

Canon ImageClass MF6550. "Memory

Hi!

Easiest way?Simply power the machine off,Press and hold the STOP key,While holding it switch the machine back on!There is also a BUTTON on the machine that looks like a diamond all most with a eye in it!Press it and you will get a message on the display like TX\RX status,Select job to cancel, use the ok key to enter a option and the left and right arrows to select a option!Once in a option simply press ok and it will ask you if its ok to delete with the right arrow being no and the left one yes!Keep on doing that un till the machine states that no print job exists!

Hope it helps!

Says memory is full... I have never seen that....

This can happen if the file you are printing is very large, like a lard PDF file for example. The printer has internal memory.
First thing you need to try is fresh new driver, you can get those here: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=239&modelid=13242#DownloadDetailAct
