Paradyne is manufactured by ACCULINK I found a manual but unfortunatey it does not download or open due to an error http://office.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/paradyne/3160a3_3161b3_3164a2_3165a2.html I have reported it to the webmaster of this site. But perhaps in the meantime contact paradyne
You can buy toner cartridges to this machine and fix the problem yourselves. Go to any office supply store and they will have toner cartridges for the Samsung clx 3160. The display will flash the name fo the cartridge color that needs to be replaced. Just open the front door of the machine, pull out the empty cartridges and pop in the new ones.
The solution to your remote problem is to go to wal-mart and when you go through the check out lane there is usually some last minute items. there is a silver remote that is usually hanging in those aisles and that has been the only one I have found that works.
From the manual: Press STANDBY/ON to put the system in standby, then press and hold the front panel (stop) button for about 8 seconds until the display shows Mem.clr?. Press the front panel I<<<< or the >>>>I button so that the display shows Interlace?. Press the front panel >/II button to set to interlace & switch the system back on
If you connect by using LAN port (RJ 45) you don't have to install driver. However USB connection will require driver. Do you have Ethernet adapter installed to you iMAC? If you have it will be resolved easily without using USB port. Check the following link for connection instructions http://www.fixya.com/support/p200812-paradyne_6211_a2_200_router/manual-18800/page-18
If physical connection is successful you can go to internet browser type 192.168.1.1 and check your modem's settings. Please post if you need further assistance
If you are using multiple computers, and DHCP, then your IP's are probably changing, which is causing your issue. You need to manually assign an IP to a computer for the IP filter to be effective in the Paradyne.
Hi,
If I understand you right, what you want is to use your Paradyne 6211 modem to share the Internet connection to 2 PCs. One is connected through the USB and the second through Ethernet port.
Tried it on a Siemens 4200 and a Prolink Hurricane 9000, both worked and can be done. To be sure, the IP settings of the PC connected via Ethernet was set to manual configuration. In your case try IP 192.168.1.3, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway 192.168.1.1, DNS Servers - whatever your ISP are using. You of course can try and see if it works in your modem.
Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
