The linksys router ip adress is 198.162.1.1
Linksys wirelss-G has many issues, rebooting bug, isn't compatible with many network adapters. If you find yourself constantly losing connection, it's probably the linksys router.

Go to start then click run adn type cmd then press enter, on the command prompt type ipconfig/all then press enter then look for gateway IP address, that will be your router's address unless you have a static IP set up on your machine.

What are the 4-8 diget number in linksys wrt54g

The default IP address for the router is 192.168.1.1. If the router IP number was changed, then it will have to be reset to the default to access it. You can access the router from your computer using the URL: http://192.168.1.1 (the default IP number).

Reset your router back to it's factory settings by holding the reset button for about 5 seconds. I have provided a list of the most popular router brands. If it does not work you may need to google what your specific model's default IP address/default username/default passwords are, for example search for "Encore ENHWI-2AN3 default IP address" The default login info can change, it can depend on where you obtained your router. If you purchased it yourself from a store then the standard defaults should work. If you obtained your router from your Internet Provider you may need to contact your service provider. It also may depend whether it's an old or new model router as well. And you may need to press and hold the reset button on your router several times before it actually clears. Make sure you have a wired connection then once you have accessed your
router simply run the Setup Wizard. Set your SSID as something you'll remember like "Mavericks Network" and your Password can be something like your phone number for example 3109876543

Wireless connection goes of then will not connect

Hi
I get that you was connect to the internet by wireless connection .
so in you connect with access point connected directly to dsl modem so try to restart the access point and try to connect again ...and reset the wireless in your device... may be it works .

I think this problem occur cause access point or DHCP server cant give your device new IP address..
so you must clean the DHCP leased addresses by restart the access point or enter to server and do that from DHCP .

else you can try to assign static ip address has the same network id with router ..
for example : if router ip is 192.168.1.1 so you must assign ip address like :
192.168.1.x while x number between 2 and 254
hope that helps you

When you reset your router the IP address will revert back to its factory default IP address and access information, if you changed the IP address prior to the reset you will have to use the default IP.
default IP: 192.168.0.1 (make sure that your network cards IP address is somthing similar like 192.168.0.2 and not 192.168.1.2)
Default username: admin
Default pass: leave blank

If you are still having issues let me know.

Cannot access the router. Reset as directed, still no access. Directly connected to PC, still no connection. Cannot see 192.168.1.1, default IP address! Is the unit FUBAR? If so, where can I send it to...

Your computer is connected to the router. check the port lights on the router. If your computer is connected to number 1 port on the router then you will see port 1 light on the router.
Connect your computer to one of port 1, 2, 3, or 4. Not to the Internet port.
If the port light is not lit up then check the connections. Make sure that there is no loose connection.
If ti is lit up then check the IP address on your computer. The default gateway number wil be the IP address of the router. Use that number to access the rotuer settings. Some times the Ip address of the router will be different ( Depends on ISP ).
Once you have correct I address of the router then try to ping that number and check if you get replies.

Can not access router setup page. IP is to be 192.168.1.102 , says can not find. This is the main computer on network, other's are wireless.

The number 192.168.1.102 must be your computer's IP address. If you want to access the router set up then You will need the Ip address of the router.
Is your computer connected to the router with the cable. if not then connect the computer to the router and check the IP address and default gateway on the computer.
Once you have the default gateway number use that number to open the router set up.
Generally the Linksys router IP address is 192.168.1.1.
Try this number.

Cant find http://192.168.1.100

Are you trying to access the router ?
I think the 192.168.1.100 might be the IP address of the computer.
If you want to access the router then you will need the Default Gateway number not the IP address.

I cant reset my senao eoc3610

1 ) Check if IP address is the correct address of your Gateway.
Check if you can ping.
Be sure you have your Java enabled
Some router requires a specific Browser (IE6 or IE7) and cannot respond to different browser.
Be sure to remove any Java protection from your Browser.
Check with user manual if IP address requires also a specific port number ( 8080 or other).
Be sure to Connect Router using Lan cable
2) Change your PC IP setting to same subnet as your router
Control Panel / Network settings / properties of TCP/IP define an IP address and a subnet mask compatible with Router as gateway.
3) If you are not sure of Router IP address use reset button on router back to factory default; use this to configure router.

Two out of 3 computers not talking

first make sure all pcs are on the same network name, usually either mshome or workgroup, to check this go to my computer>right click>properties then look at computer name tab, if any are different than the network you should be named as click change name, save and restart. Then go to each computers network adapters properties and go to the TCP/IP line nd click properties again and check that the cards are set to obtain ip address automatically and click ok, because if you hve used the wizard it would have changed your pc's ip addresses. Next go into your routers settings by typing it's ip address in your web browser (eg 192.168.1.1, depending on the router, refer to manual) and look in menu for DHCP and make sure this is enabled so as to automatically asign your pc's an ip address. If you are struggling for any of the pcs's to obtain an address, click Start>Run, then type ipconfig /flushdns to clear all ip and dns addresses.
