Its a valve issue, most likely needs repair.

When the power is turned on at the wall, the automatic spark that lights the gas top comes on on the two right burners, and wont stop even after the light is lit. What can I do about it?

Behind the knobs for the right burners are 2 electrical switches that start the spark when you turn the knobs on. One of those switches is bad and stuck in the on position. You have to pull the knobs off and remove the trim behind the knobs to get to the switches.

Sears Kenmore gas stove, the front left and the left and right rear burners turn on when the knob is turned to the lite position. The right front burner doesn't turn on when put lite position. N

If there is no clicking sound like you hear when you turn on the other burners than I'm going to say that either the electrode is bad or the spark switch, which is what you turn to turn on the burner to begin with. Both parts are cheap so it may be a good maintenance thing to change all of the burners. Make sure you have your model and go to www.repairclinic.com and order both parts, and if you don't need one send it back for a full refund even if you installed it. good luck

The spark won't stop on a burner; it turns on just fine, but when off, it continues to click. That is, it is the spark that causes the gas to ignite. But the "sparker" keeps on sparking, over and over and...

Most of these have a switch behind each knob that triggers the spark.

OFTEN during cleaning, mositure gets into the switch causing the problem.

If you suspect this, try using a hair drier to dry out behind the knob if you can;t remove and investigate if this could be the cause.

Dead burner on kitchenaid gas cooktop?

it is strange that you have no gas and no spark! if you held a match to the burner and turned the burner valve on it would lite di spite a failed ignitor, but for it not to lite, the burner valve[its what the knob attaches too] would have to be blocked[thats rare]or ........i got it .....the knob is broken.thats the only thing the burner valve and the spark ignitor have in common.try a knob from another burner................again.you have spark, because others are working.spark on troubled burner would work if valve blocked at orifice outlet, and if spark failed you would still get gas they work independent of each other,[but in unison].thats why im thinking knob.its the item that works both .when you turn the knob it opens the gas valve and as the gas valve rotates by turning the knob it activates or turns the spark switch so it closes the curcit allowing the electricty to the spark moduel.hey i hope that helps a little. God bless ,tom

Burners not lighting

You have one or more spark switches defective or a loose wire to the switches.
They are located on each gas valve stem.
Yes they should be replaced for safety.
In the interim you can match light the surface burners.

The right front burner won't heat

The switch probably failed. Remove power. Take off the top rear cover and inspect the switch for signs of discoloration (burned or brown areas). If looks OK then maybe the element failed.
