I have a Dell inspiron 1545 and i get a message saying "this computer has been locked with a system password and you cant access any information until you enter the password. How can i get rid of that password? Its that system password that you type in the BIOS. thanks
I tried all options available online, and the only guys that could actually unlock my laptop were the guys from
www.biosremoval.com

I have done a bit of research and it seems like there are a few possibilities for you.
1) Ring up dell and they will tell you how to reset it but they might ask you for proof of ownership. Although I don't know how they would do that if you bought it second hand.
2) Some people have suggested opening the case and removing the battery on the motherboard for a while. You will be able to find lots of stuff on Dell's web site about how to do this. There may be a jumper that you can remove to do a factory reset on the bios.
3) I also saw some bios reset software but these sound a bit fake/viral to me as I think this bios password kicks in before the computer even starts to boot so even a boot disk would not get you past the bios password.
So my advice is try option 1 first then option 2 if Dell won't help
Try putting on mawarebytes a free software and superantispywareand also try avira its a free anti virus download try these to clear up the problem because sounds like a virus or spyware took over your pc
Cuando prendo la computadora no deja hacer nada solo (enter system password)

SOURCE: i have dell inspiron 1545
I use http://www.unlockbiosrecovery.com/Unlock_Dell_Bios.php to get the bios master password that clears the current bios password. You then have full access to the bios setup. I have use them many times with no problems. I come across a lot of Dell laptops that have their bios password set for no reason. I think there may be a bug in the bios that causes it to set bios password.

i cant even get passes bios, the password is blocking it. Its not windows password.
Thank you for replys but i cant even get to windows, not even passed BIOS, It blocking it. I have tried taking the CMOS battery out and that was my hope but it didnt work.
Yes i have called dell and they said that without any info about the owner they couldnt help me.
doesnt matter what i do, i tried going to F12 boot manu, F2 BIOS set-up and it wont go anywhere unless i type that password.
Once again i cant even boot off any cd. When i turn the laptop on i c the Dell logo and then after that i get prompted with a password. When i hit F2 to go to set up, its says that i have to put in the password first. Thanks
