The microwave will beep and come on by itself with the display stating something about freezer time for vegetables. We have unplugged the unit for longer than a day. We plug the unit in again and will work okay for a little time and begins to start on its own again.
We have tried this 5-6 times but this continues to happen.
Sounds like a failing or wet keypad or *maybe* the controller.
Is it possible that some spray cleaner accidentally got into the controls?
I always recommend that users spray the cleaner on a soft cloth (not on the keypad itself) then wipe the control panel off.
Also, I always recommend non-ammonia cleaners since ammonia can crack and damage plastic.
Otherwise, the spray can get into the controls and lock it up or make it act odd.
If it does not dry out over time, it may need to be manually dried or blown out.
The keypad may be damaged or worn out, or control unit may be damaged.
This can usually be fixed economically, but please look over this response and then I'd be happy to help further.
Please rely back to this thread if possible when leaving replies.

I was cleaning the top of the microwave and afterwards the vent fan came on and will not turn off; everything else works - how do you manually dry or blow out the controls?
