Sorry woodchuck789 Rank: Guru. The Dometic RM2201 does not have any of these things; vent(damper), fan in the freezer, auto defrost, defrost timer, defrost heater, or a defrost thermostat.
mickamoose, Most likely the camper is not sitting level. It needs gravity to work correctly. The fins in the back of the refrigerator get cooling from the refrigerant leaving the freezer compartment. If all else fails, leave to freezer compartment door open inside the refrigerator. Parts for this unit are getting hard to find and these RM2201 refrigerators will never work as well as the one in your house. One alternative is to replace the refrigerator with a dorm or office type refrigerator. They are cheep and work well except only on 115 Volts AC.
Got some more to add. There is not enough information given in your posted question to tell you what is wrong with the RM2201. However, there is a wealth of information on this refrigerator available on the internet. Suggestions, download the manual if you don’t already have one. Another name for these types of refrigerators is “Adsorption Refrigerators”. Search for “U tube manometer” and get measurements of you gas pressures at the RM2201 test port. Mark the U tube manometer off in half inch increments or in one inch increments and double your readings. This will revile most of the information needed to figure out what’s wrong. The pressure at the test point is supposed to be 11 inches of water. Also RTFM. In the tech support biz that means, Read The F*****g Manual. Really. You need to know the stuff in that manual. Don’t forget the gas bottle regulator could be at fault and the U tube manometer will revile that. Good luck.

How to check
everything
http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper)
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through
it. There is a flap you adjust with the
fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the
fridge temp ..
OR
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer
are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of
cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.
check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In
most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board.
If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.
You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks
and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace
the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the
timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.
SOURCE: Freezer working, fridge isn't.
It is possible that your cooling unit is failing due to a blockage. The solution used to cool starts at the top of the fridge and works its way to the bottom. If there is a blockage in the cooling unit it could produce the symptom you have explained.

What is the recall for?

Ok, I realize I'm a little late on chiming in here, is this unit located in a slideout, and/or the top outside vent is in the wall not a roof located vent?
If so then the issue is that there are fans that are necessary to circulate air thru the hot coils. And there is probably a malfuntioning thermostat to turn these fans on/off. I had this issue with same fridge in a Gulfstream motorhome, and the temporary fix was to pull the faston connectors off the thermostat and tied them together with a 12V fuse, and taped it up with electrical tape to keep it from shorting on fridge chassis and parts. Replace the thermostat at your conveniance, as these fans are now running whenever fridge is on, and will run your batteries down if not plugged into shore power.
