If the leak is in the hi/lo refrigerant lines replace the washer seals. If it is coming from the shaft behind the clutch, replace the compressor.

How do i fix a fuel leak under front door of a 1998 gmc jimmy?

Depends on what's leaking. The fuel line runs down that side of the truck to a fuel filter near the front. If the filter or a filter connector has failed or is loose, try replacing the filter. If the problem is a leaking line, you will have to find the exact location of the leak and try either installing a repair kit (cut the line and insert coupler), or if badly damaged, replace the line.

CLIMATE CONTROLLS NOT WORKING

Check the AC compressor to see if it is turning on, if it isn't the system is likely low on charge due to a refrigerant leak. You must have the leak repaired before adding any $10.00 per can R134, otherwise you might as well just flush the money down the John. Do not replace any parts until the problems have been diagnosed by a HVAC qualified tech,.

My 1998 jimmy gmc blows warm air although its been recharged the control panel has been replaced as well as the evaporator and condensor and orphice

Check to see if the compressor is coming on when you turn the a/c on. If not check your blend door actuator behind the glove box. If it is bad it keeps your compressor from coming on, autozone has it for $59. only has two screws and the electrical plug holding it in.

A/C compressor turns on intermittently, no cold

It is a possibility, go to the low side inlet valve and release a liitle bit of freon at a time and see what happens, do it with the engine off and start it up to test.

I have an 1998 GMC jimmy 4.3 motor .my air conditioner quit working so I thought it needed charging .but once I hooked of the canister to refill the aircon I seen the compressor was not turning .so I...

There should be a low pressure switch located on one of the metal a/c lines. It probably has 2 wires. Sometimes it is necessary to 'jump' across this switch to complete the circuit to the compressor until it starts to accept freon and build pressure. This is a safty feature designed to prevent the compressor from locking up due to the absence of oil, which is carried by the freon. Good luck. Dave

Air conditioner compressor short cycles and does not blow cool air

Sounds like the system may be empty. In that event you need to find where the refrigerant went (the leak)

What does it mean when your a/c compressor does not come on at all. even the rps dont change any it just does nothing

What you can do is get your self a refrigerant from Wallmart about $7.00 and charge it, in compressor it self it tells you what kind of refrigerant is require for your compressor. follw instruction that comes with the refrigerant on how to charge it.
AC is running and setting in maximum while charging and dont overcharge.
As soon as you start chrging the compressor should start running when the pressure build up.
