While watching tv my speakers started cracking and went loud then just stop working. turn the unit off then back on it works for a few seconds then does the same thing.

One of two issues....the unit may be overheating....you can install a simple fan (plug into the accessory outlet on the back) this way it will turn on whenever the unit comes on.

Second potential issue/resolutoin......reboot the micro-processor....turn off unit....hold down A+B at the same time....power up unit..(all buttons on display illuminate and blink)....hold for roughly 3 seconds then let go...
