Why cools the ac only 1 hour full power and never reaches the set-point temperature ?

check that all the doors and windows are closed as ac units do not work well when trying to cool the world
is the ac unit too small for the room size
I suspect that because it is working the problem is outside the ac control
is the inside fan working and blowing out cold air
tip

Why does my A/C blow little to no air, that's not cold, and how do I fix it?

Air Conditioner freeze ups cause an A/C to blow little to no air through the vents, and the air is usually warm.

There are three basic reasons for air conditioner freeze ups:
  1. Insufficient air flow
  2. Low Refrigerant charge
  3. Outdoor temperature
1) The two most common causes of insufficient air flow are dirty filters and under sized ducts. A dirty filter limits air flow which in turn allows the cooling coil’s temperature to drop below freezing. Replacing the filter, monthly, usually alleviates this problem. Under sized ducts will also cause the system to freeze because it also limits the amount of air flowing over the cooling coil. This results in lowering the coil temperature and allowing the humidity in the air to collect on the coil and freeze.

2) Low Refrigerant Charge. The refrigerant system teeters on a delicate balance. If the system is not charged correctly, the system will not function properly. This malfunction may result in the poor cooling output and/or freezing up. Only a qualified, certified service technician can properly test and charge a refrigerant system. Check your small high pressure line (should be hot) and low pressure line (should be cold, but not frozen).

3) Outdoor temperature. If temperatures are too low, the system will not operate properly, and freeze up may occur. The outdoor unit does not function well in temperatures below 60 degrees F. A special “ambient temperature” control must be installed to allow the unit to run properly in cool temperatures, or you may open your windows and save energy. If the A/C is set lower than 70 degrees F, special adapters are required to be installed.

Why does the split unit blow hot air in air conditioner mode, when switched on with the remote control.

because you have the temperature set at 28 degrees celcuis . Change the temperature to 18 degrees and it will cool 28 is hotter
It is a reverse cycle air conditioner it will warm the room if you set temperature to 28 degrees . Set it lower and it will blow out cold air.
Have exact same air conditioner as I recognise the remote control.
point it at the air conditioner when altering the temperature setting.
Check under the slide compartment also on the remote for more advanced settings.

Ac only works for heat

Perform a self test on heater control head if it's electronic,... push floor and off button at the same time with key on, release, then press the auto button one time. This puts control head into self test. If you hear a clicking noise from your glove box area, probably a bad temperature blend door, also it will show a code on control head screen.post code here or Google it. Hope that helps. . The air conditioner is emitting cool air instead of cold air. I have the setting on cold and the temperature setting at 60 degrees. On these days that have been near and over 100 degrees, that cool air...

Typical temp split should be 15 to 20 degrees. A 75 degree return air temp should be in the 50s. Be sure coils are clean , if in that range the machine can do no more. If it is not, you likely have a refrigerant issue.

I have an LG AC and the lowest temperature setting is 60 degrees

Lowering the temperature setting doesn't change the temperature of the air coming out of the unit it just lets it run until the room temperature gets colder. Check the temp of the air coming out of the unit. If it isn't as cold as it used to be the charge could be low. First though you should make sure the filters are clean and the coils. You should also check the actual room temp. It's also possible the unit doesn't have enough capacity to keep up with the cooling load of the room.

My airconditioner lines keep freezing up

Your filter is plugged, or the refrigerant is low, or it is getting too cold outside overnight (less than 60degf)

1) The two most common causes of insufficient air flow are dirty filters and under sized ducts. Under sized ducts will also cause the system to freeze

This malfunction may result in the poor cooling output and/or freezing up. Only a qualified, certified service technician can properly test and charge a refrigerant system.
3) Outdoor temperature. If night time temperatures are too low, the system will not operate properly, and freeze up may occur. The outdoor unit does not function well in temperatures below 60 degrees F. A special “ambient temperature” control must be installed to allow the unit to run properly in cool temperatures, or you may open your windows and save energy.

2004 Chevy Silverado AC is blowing warm air on passenger side.

You have dual zones that are controlled by temperature actuators the passenger side has lost its memory or has gone bad you can put it in self programming by disconnecting the battery for ten minutes then hook it back up start the truck turn the temperature control on but do not touch any other controls let it go thru the self programming for about 6 to 7 minutes then select your temperature you want if it still does not work properly you may have a bad actuator or a bad connection at the actuator
