SOURCE: My dryer is overheating, causing my thermal to

All dryer heat functions are controlled by thermostats:
Check all thermostats and make sure they all are lint and dust free, if problem continues, change the high limit thermostat which is the unit that controls high temperature and might be defective.
GOOD LUCK!

SOURCE: Maytag performa Keeps blowing Thermal Fuse. Vents

something is still plugged with lint,if the vent line is long blow it out with a leaf blower to clean it out,you have to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into,if the filter is on top remove the vent line, remove the back panel, remove the lint filter and the two screws in front of it and remove the four screws and clean out the duct,if the filter is in front take off the bottom panel, remove the filter and clean the duct, also vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is,when the dryer gets to hot the thermal fuse pops as a safety so you still have a block somewhere

My maytag neptune dryer keeps blowing the thermal fuse

Overheating is almost always an airflow problem. Check airway before the place the fuse is located and the vent pipe and vent after the fuse to make sure they are open, If the airway is clear, the thermostat may be allowing the heating element to stay turned on until the dryer gets too hot,

My Samsung DV488AEW/XAA Dryer keeps blowing the thermal fuse. It has good airflow; there's no lint buildup. I've replaced the fuse 4 times now and also the thermal cutoff and the heating element. Help

Check the airflow if it is restricted at the output, you need to have the vents cleaned. The airflow is backing up and causing overheating inside the unit.

Thermal cut-off

when the thermal fuse or the high limit pops it's because the dryer is running to hot,all a dryer does is move air, when one of the fuses pops it's from a block from lint either in the lint filter duct or the vent line,if the air can't blow outside or out of the dryer the fuse will blow.if your vent line is long remove it from the back of dryer and stick a leaf blower into the vent line and blow all the lint outside, make sure there isn't a cage or anything blocking the outside hood, then pull out the lint filter, take the dryer apart, remove the lint filter duct and clean it out, also vac and blow out the cabinet and motor, you should do this once a year, your clothes will dry on time, less parts will get damaged from overheating ,your electric bill will be less and most important you won't have a dryer fire.hope this helps, the fuse will keep blowing until you clean out the dryer and vent line.

Thermal fuse blown on kenmore dryer what is the cause

The thermal fuse blows when the vent gets restricted and builds up too much heat. After it gets to a certain point the thermal fuse blows. Clean out the vent, keep the lint trap clean, and hopefully your problems will go away.

most commonly the thermal fuse blows because of lack of air flow. long vents, flex vent, pinched or plugged vents. any of these will cause thermal fuse to trip. It's a safety device to keep dryer from overheating.
