Please make sure you have a loaded battery in it and that the positon of the hold button allows you to access all other buttons. If still not fixed, do wire it up to a PC using the USB cable and try to access it. File management/sychronization is working? what does the player's screen show now? is the sd-card accessable?
Unplug, remove and reinsert battery then. Try again to operate it. If still not lucky, try a firmware-update. Drivers are downloadable at

I did the firmware upgrade and it is telling me that there are no upgrades avaiable. It was working finr last night then it shut off. I replaced the battery and all I am getting is Pearl on my screen.
I think it over charged. I left it on all day. When I returned home it was turned off. Before when I tried to turn it off it wouldn't. I turned it back on and it was fine, but the battery was very low. I charged it for a smaller amount of time. It is now fine and working like normal!
