SOURCE: Water collecting in refrigerator and ice collecting in freezer
sounds like you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you access to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somewhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wire around the heater( black heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now every time the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over

sounds like you do have a clogged drain tube, its self defrosting but the defrost water is pooling under hte crispers instead of in the drain pan under unit.so you ll either have to remove hte rear panel of freezer and locate the drain trough/ tube, and defrost it allowing for water to drain down, o rclear all the tube leading down to the drain pan.
SOURCE: Refrigerator freezer drains keeps freezing over, not plugged.
Your drain tube may
be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's
stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor.
It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little
pressure with a turkey baster will
usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help. Make
sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be
located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.
Take a bare copper wire and wrap it around a fin near the
heater and put the other end a few inches down the drain. The heat convection
may prevent it from freezing.

one problem i had was the condensor fan had stopped working because it was clogged up with ice buildup, check and make sure the fan is not iced up, once a year i have to unclog ice from the condensor fan which located behing the white panel, which you unscrew and you can get a visual on this fan. my freezer would stop working but the fridge part was fine. something as small as that was causing this problem for me.
SOURCE: When automatic defrost operates, the
Inside the freezer where the drain hole is is getting blocked with ice. If you have had it cleared twice already and the problem persist. The make something called a drain heater. This piece of metal wraps around the defrost heater and the sets down in the drain line heating everytime the heater does and causing any water that make have collected there to thaw and run out instead of freezing up and overflowing into your freezer.
