Running on my treadmill today,8mins into run belt starts slipping,jumped on to side rails belt stopped and wont start again although i can hear the motor turning

Proform 620XP -- when stepping on belt, belt stops! I step off, belt starts turning.

I just got this treadmill from a friend at work. She had it about 2 years and already had replaced the motor in it. Her son never used it after the motor replacement and hardly had used it before that....
Most of the time its caused from not lubricating between the treadmill belt and deck. This causes friction and the surfaces wear putting greater stress on the electronics. The treadmill is shutting down to protect the electronics. You should stop using the treadmill .
