SOURCE: Watch hands don't coincide with the digital time.

This usually occurs when the battery is changed. There should be a process for synchronising the two times detailed in the manual.

To get a manual you go to "http://tissot.ch/" and on the black menu bar at the bottom of the page you will see "product support". Click on this and you will go to a page of instructions. Download yours and find the relevant method for putting your watch right.

Testimonial: "You were right. I downloaded the manual and the synchronisation instructions were there. Still not sure how it happened. But thanks so much!"

The hour hand is off. How do I set the hour hand?

If you have a normal three hands + calendar watch - you should pull out the crown two notches out and turn it. Both hands should turn. Now, if your hour hand is off from a marker when your minute hand is on 12 (or 0 minutes) than you would normally need a watch maker. The hands assembly on your watch was done sloppily.

I was adjusting my time on my watch and realised that i can't seem to align my hour hand and 12 hour hand on the exact hour reading when my minute hand is at 12!!! Help!!

Your watch needs a hand alignment. This cant be done without some specialty tools and training. Take your watch to a qualified watch repair shop and ask for a hand alignment. Make sure that when you also ask to have the watch resealed if it is water resistant. Good shops will guarantee their work.

Describe your Citizen Skyhawk Eco-Drive JR306059F Wrist Watch Problem: How to correct 0 position of 24 four hour hand. I think its done in conjunction with hour hand but how?

Here is how to correct the 0 Position for your watch.

While your the crown of your watch is down in the starting position , turn the crown until the mode hand (this is the circle at the bottom of the face) reaches CHR

At this time now pull out the crown until it clicks two times, two the second setting of the crown.

This will bring the watch to the 0 position correction function.
you can turn the crown clock wise to correct the hour hand.

press the a button to switch hand to second, or press again to switch to minute. Then use crown again to correct 0 position.

The hour and the 24 hour hand is in conjunction with each other.

then push down the crown all the way in and you should be all set.

How do you set the day of the week?

Since you didnt tell me what KIND of watch it is I am giving you a general instructions.

  • Wait until the second hand is at zero (the top of the dial). Then pull the crown knob out as far as it will go to set the time on your watch. Turn the knob in either direction and look at the three additional hands on the time dials of your watch: the minute hand, the hour hand and the 24-hour hand.
  • Step 2 Stop turning the knob when all minute and hour hands are pointing to the correct time. Pay special attention to the 24-hour hand so that you have a.m. or p.m. correct.
  • Step 3 Push the knob back in exactly when a new minute is starting so that your second hand will be correct. Use another clock you know to be accurate as a reference, such as the government clock available online.
  • Step 4 Pull the knob out halfway so you can set the date. Turn it counterclockwise until you notice the date on the watch changing. Stop it and push the knob back in to its starting position once you reach the correct one. Try to set the date before 9 p.m. If you set it after that time, it may not register with your watch that it should switch the date at midnight. If this happens with your watch, just fix it the next day.
  • Step 5 Set the chronograph, or big dial, on your watch. It works like a stopwatch to let you time activities for up to one hour. Push the top button on the side of your watch to start it. Push it again to stop it. Push the bottom button on the side of your watch to reset it.

  • It would certainly help if next time you let us know what kind of watch it is you have, Best of luck.

My radio watch is off by 5 hours how do i fix it The minutes are correct the hour is wrong . It didn't change with daylight savings and we tried to change it and now it is off by 5 hours. please help

I have never been able to find instructions on their web site but since most watches operate in a similar manner try the following (some experimenting may be required).

Press the mode button and your watch will cycle through the settings menu. On mine, there is a setting "HS" (hand setting) and then I press one of the other buttons (not the light button) to advance or ****** the hands.

When the setting it correct, press the mode button to reach normal operation.

I have a Aerospace model watch and am having difficulty in adjusting the digital time to be equal to the minute and hour hand time.

Its best to change on the hour.Stop your watch so that the second hand is pointing to 12.
Move the hands to the time i.e 10am then advance the minute hand 5 mins past the hour, then turn it back to 10am, when the time comes push set and your hands are set.
I think you might have not moved the minute hand forward 5 mins and back.

You can now set your digital time from your hands setting.

Resetting stopwatch dials - Armani AR5331

When you reset the big seconds hand to zero, the hour and the minute hand are not engaged in this function, so, there is no fault with the watch movement.
    Do as follows:
    1) pull out crown and set the hour and minute hands at 6 o'clock (they must be lined perfectly in opposite directions)
    2) push the crown in half way back (not completely)
    3) push and hold the button at 2 o'clock (set the big seconds hand to zero) and release it when done
    4) when big seconds hand is zeroed push the crown back in
    5) pull the crown out again and set desired time
    6) push the crown back in.
If all actions described do not work, you will have to visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask to refit chronograph hand as in this case it is out of balance (not pointed at exact mark).

    Citizen Skyhawk Time Adjustment Problem

It is possible to set the main analogue hour and minute hand 30 minutes out of phase with the digital readout, but doing so will also put the analogue UTC dial 30 minutes off. It can be done by using a variation of the proceedure for zeroing the watch hands as follows: 1. Rotate the crown in its normal opering position to set the watch in chronograph mode (mode dial pointing to "chr") 2. Pull out the crown to the second click. This should cause all the hands on the watch to return to zero. "HR" should appear on the left-hand digital display. This will allow you to move the hour hand by twisting the crown. Advance it to about half way between the 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions. 3. Press the top button. "MIN" should appear in the left-hand digital display. This allows you to adjust the minute hand. Twist the crown to advance it to the 6 o'clock, or 30 minute, position. Note that this will also move the minute hand on the small UTC dial to the 30 minute position. 4. Press the crown back into its normal position. 5. Reset the digital time and date according to a time zone that is in a one-hour offset from UTC. This is not a perfect solution. Your digital readings will show the correct time for all one-hour offset time zones while your analogue nads are 30 minutes out of phase. Your small UTC dial will also be 30 minutes out of phase with the digital UTC. Hope this helps.

    How to set watch

I just set the time on mine with these instructions 1) With the watch in the regular time display mode (doesn't matter if 12 hour or military time), depress and hold the lower left hand button (mode button). After a few seconds the watch appears to shift to alarm mode and it is blinking. This puts you into the mode for adjusting the alarm.

    2) If you want to adjust time, date, etc rather than alarm time, after you have done step one, simply press that same lower left button again, and then it will put you into the time mode, but this time the time mode is blinking and you can adjust the various components (seconds, minutes, hours) then you can use the upper right hand button to navigate thru seconds, minutes and hours. Then you can change the time with the lower right hand button you can only change the time forward. I hope this helps !!!
