SOURCE: karaoke speaker,no woofer or midrange working, only tweeter

Hi, it's probably that the 8" woofer and the midrange of the "amped" enclosure is open. One way to test is to remove just one wire from the inside of the enclosure to the woofer or midrange in question and with the use of a continuity tester (or a VOM), check for the resistance of the coil of each the 2 speakers. Both should read anywhere from 4-8 ohms, if there's no reading (VOM needle will not move) then the coil(s) are open. In the absence of a tester, a single AAA or AA battery would do (pls. some would argue that this is not a sound practice, however this should be enough for you to be able to determine the condition of the coil(s)). With the use of the battery and a single short length of electrical wire, apply power from the battery to the terminals of the speaker, if the cone moves, then chances are it is good, if they don't then you would have to replace it. Am not sure if available in your area, but there are some trained people who can rewind the coil should a replacement speaker be not readily available. Hope this be of help. Please let us know how things turn up. Regards.

SOURCE: Tweeters & Midrange Speakers

If you have a Ohm Meter, check the resistance to the speakers. If it is very high, the speakers are burned, (or the crossover is (just capacitors, and resisters...cheap)). If it is close to 4 ohms check the wiring and connectors..to and at the speakers, most likly the receiver/amp is not blown.

SOURCE: pioneer car sttereo without manual. front speakers work but rear speakers silent

Press the audio button (A button in right hand upper corner) till you see FADE or BAL press the up down or left right arrows to adjust the fade and balance till all your speakers work.

If they still dont work, check the wiring at the speaker and the wiring behind the head unit to make sure their properly intact and properly grounded.

SOURCE: Front door speakers

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Am looking to buy a used Hisense TV. Model # HL106V88P. Would like a manual but mostly I want to know the power rating of the inbuilt speakers and whether they're any good. Any opinions on the refresh

Most people don't know this but most of these TV's are made in same factory and the front screens are made by Samsung as far as refresh rate 120hz is better then 60hz and 240hz is better then 120hz so any brand is really the same. All component parts come from Asian country's take care

APPLE iPod HiFi Speakers A1121

Forget other comments - the front is simply a glued-on black metal plate. No screws. No plugs. No obvious way in. If you use a screwdriver you can lever the 1mm thick black plate off the front of the unit to access the screws. Remove the middle speaker first & unclip from main housing. Take a good look & memorise the clip positions as there are lots and it's quite a job getting them all back again! Good luck. Great stereo.

Magnavox 15MF605T/17B how to remove the front panel to replace speakers?

I presume the back cover does not really open from the back or if it does you cannot see the speakers from the rear?

which if you cannot see them with rear cover removed leaves two possible paths, the entire panel unit with the screen has to be removed and they are under it OR the entire front may be snapped together and has to be pryed out (if you see a seam or crack like area running around the side up front get a thin metal putty knife and try to open it, seen a lot of computer LCD monitors where they come apart from the front--and are snapped together much like some of our plastic remotes--have to go in from the front and not the rear.

Do some careful looking to see what you have.

I have just bought a new Onkyo TX-NR808 and set it up over the week end with new 'accusound' surround sound speakers. Have bi-amp the front speakers. I don't think I am getting very good sound out of it?...

Depending on the amplifier, it might not provide enough power (in Watts) to the speakers. If the speakers require more power, it won't be as loud.

Insignia 26 inch Flat Panel Internal Speakers Stop working

You need to test the unit on a external sound source, to see if the audio amplifier is working correctly. By checking it on another source you can determine if the sound amplifier system is failing or you have had some problem with you speakers. Once you determine the problem. If it is the speakers, you can replace them with new ones. However if it is the audio amplifier section failing you will have to take it to a service center where they have all the service information to do the repairs. If the unit is still under warranty, have it serviced by Insignia. Recevier,8 track casset tape

Hi, I'm looking at the schematic and service manual for the Fisher 177. Each speaker must be connected between the "Main" and "Common" terminal for sound to come out of the speakers, there is a Main, Common and Remote terminal for both left and right speakers, for a total of 8 speaker terminals. These will be separate screw or push-in terminals, NOT standard RCA jacks. Try the AM radio first, since this is the part that will probably still be working if the tape machine and turntable have failed. The Power switch must be set to either "Main" or "Main and Remote" for the speakers to work. If still no sound, rip that selector switch back and forth several times to clean the internal contacts, also try the headphone jack. If still no output, "exercise" all controls back and forth several times to clean them as well. If still no luck, your unit needs service. I can scan you a copy of the service manual for $20 if needed (sorry, I'm in the business and have to charge something). Good luck! And yes, I take in repair work from all over the country - my flat rate to fully repair that unit would be $200 plus return shipping. My website is www.Barrys8TrackRepair.com No phone calls accepted, but the website does have my e-mail address.
