I have an 1990 JVC XL-M303BK Home Compact-Disc player (2 channel) and am unable to eject the 5-disc cartridge. Is there a solution for this ?

The first time I plugged it in it only had 4 of 5 discs in it and was able to select a disc to play and it worked. Then I tryed to eject the cartridge disc holder and put another one in, but it won't eject.

I was able to pull/jimmy the cartridge out and take a peek into the slot. Doesn't look like there is a CD or anything in there. But it still won't play or eject when I put it back in. Guess you were right and it'll need some disassembly one way or another. Thank you :)

You won't get any sound unless you connect your CD player to an appropriate input on your amplifier (any but phono or tape/md) and connect your speakers to this amp.

The unit can not read the discs. It will search through all 6 positions then quit. Try opening up the unit and cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Update this with your results.

For DENON DVD-3930: In "setup", HDMI sound settings have to be "2-channel". Then SACD 5-channel output is enabled.

My disctray is stuck. Howcan I open it?

There are a few potential solutions you can try if your disc tray is stuck:
  1. Check the power cord and ensure it is securely plugged into the outlet and the back of the device. If the device has a power switch, make sure it is turned on.
  2. Check the disc inside the tray to make sure it is not blocking the tray from opening. If there is a disc, try gently pushing the tray in and then pulling it out again to see if it will release.
  3. If the above steps do not work, try pressing and holding the "eject" button on the device for a few seconds. This may release the tray.
  4. If the tray is still stuck, try pressing and holding the "eject" button while unplugging the device from the power outlet. Wait a few seconds, then plug the device back in and try the "eject" button again.

Jvc xl-f254 cd changer for home. 5 disc changer. Carousel will not slide out. makes humming noise, possibly trying to open.

Take the cover off and inspect for a jammed disc.

If there are no jammed discs you either have a broken belt or stripped gear.

You will have to take the unit apart and inspect, belts are commercially available from electronic stores and are a cheap easy fix!

Let me know if you need more details or guidance.

Cheers!

Stuck disc in JVC CD player

It wasn't a car cd player, but a component for a stereo.  I took off the case and shook the player until the disc dropped out.  We plan to replace the player, so no further help is needed.  Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
