RGB745WEA3WW Hotpoint Range, gas to broiler doesn't shutoff

Broiler & oven work, when its shuts off, if you put flame to broiler burner it lights but just barely. I had replaced the electronic control because it had burnt out. with no electronic control hooked up there was gas leak just at broiler.there was no gas leak before changing electronic control. I installed new control & can use oven & broiler now.

SOURCE: Hotpoint Gas oven doesn't light

Sounds like the oven ignitor is weak.  If everything else is working it must be a bad ignitor.  These are usually easy to replace and can expect to pay $70-$100 for the part.  Check to see if it glows when in bake mode first.  If it does then replace the ignitor.  You can look at the ignitor,  when not on, if it is white-ish then it needs replace or if it doesn't have a full glow, can compare to broil ignitor, then it needs replaced.  Let me know if you have further questions.

SOURCE: Magic chef oven

change the bottom ignighter just because it glowes doesn't mean its getting hot enough to open the safety valve you should see two screws at the bottom of the floor of the oven cavity after removing the racks remove those and remove the floor then you will see a deflector shield remove that to get access to the ignighter take out the two screws and install the new ignightor and reassemble

Al, you need to seat the needle valve on the bake. Remove the bottom drawer, right below the bake burner you will see the nut just below the air shutter adjustment. Turn this nut clockwise a few times, it might seem hard but just do it. Then try the bake again, you should have a nice bluel flame. Tenbears.

Whirlpool WFG510S0AS2 range - stove burners work just fine, but both the oven and broiler does not stay lit. NOTE - this unit has been converted from natural gas to LP

when the lp conversion is done , it is normally just a jet size change that is done
however the air shroud has to also be adjusted to get a clean blue burn of the flame
The just jet change results in a slightly yellow flame which is incomplete burn of the gas and that creates carbon build up at the jet and burners causing partial blockage
I would suggest that you call in an accredited gas fitter to check the problem and if necessary , clean the jets and adjust the air shroud

Broiler shuts off

Make sure you keep the oven door OPEN when using the broiler, otherwise the thermostat will shut it off.

Hi,
The flame maybe not enough try to clean the gas nozzle at back potion of the oven , look for small wire to clean the clug by dust and rust , after cleaning test the flame , the burner will increase in flame .

Not sure, but sounds like you may have a gas pressure problem or the stove is set-up for the wrong type of gas.
