How can I open the case of the Cambridge Audio Minx Go?

The speaker was dropped and something is now catching or rattling inside. I want to open it to see if I can repair it, and there are no visible screws or clips.

SOURCE: Opening the case on Dell DJ 30GB

I have the opposite problem. I have opened my Dell DJ 30 and removed the battery. Where did you buy the battery?

To get access to the battery, you need to use a sharp knife (construction type). Cut the interface between the plastic bottom at the outside casing interface and remove the plastic in one piece. It is sort of glued to the bottom, but it comes off easy once the perimeter is free. Under the plastic cover, there are 4 philips head screws to remove a small metal covering plate. Once the plate is removed, you can see the connector for the battery. Remove the connector and then gently pull the battery out. There is nothing holding it in place except the friction of the other components inside. Mine came out easily. Now I need to buy a replacement battery.

Hey DM - Did you remove all 3 screws under the battery cover? The two little black ones near the bottom and the one up inside the battery compartment? Thanks.

SOURCE: How to open the case of the speakers?

this may help?
in between the bottom of the right speaker casing, theres two tones ( black and grey ). [personally i didnt care about the speakers seeing as how i got them for free.] i cut in between the two tones with a hand saw to make an opening. then used a flat head screwdriver to wedge it open which was pretty easy after an opening was created.

be wary of the volume knob cause in opening it, theres soldered wires underneath. good luck

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO AZUR 640A: when i switch the unit on the left hand channel is distorted. after a few minutes it settles down and is ok from there on in.

The first thing I would try is swapping the speaker wires on the back of the amp and see if the problem moves as well. Then you know what your speakers or speaker wire. If that's not the case, then try switching the left and right
from your sources and see if the problem follows. This should get you a pretty good idea of what's wrong

Subwoofer makes noise like an untuned TV regardless of volume knob

I would suggest your crossover unit has failed in the speaker cabinet. The crossover circuit board separates the low and high frequency content of your stereos audio signal. The low frequencies go to the bass unit (woofer) and the high frequencies go to the tweeter speaker. If the capacitor on the crossover goes open or near open circuit then noise is introduced into the sound system. Replace either the capacitor or crossover unit.

Cambridge cd5 player rattles

The only way to find out is to take a look inside, you can't do any damage to it doing that, but you should find out what is broken.

I am using an optical cable to from my Panasonic Blu-Ray player to my Cambridge Audio Azur 340R receivable, and the centre speaker is not working

In any 'connection' question there are at least two participants and specific answers require specific details about all components in the path.

Does the center speaker work for just speaker testing? Your unidentified BluRa player has to know there's a Center Speaker, too.

Digital bitstreams don't arbitrarily drop out one channel.

Running four S70 Siroccos off the amp, everytime volume gets halfway the protection is cutting in with protection light flashing three times? When reducing down to two speakers amp cuts out three quarters...

You are overloading your amp. IMO 640A cannot handle heavy loads.

Better change the speaker combo and connect something that puts right load on the 640A. Else, get a meaty amp from CA.

I have mission 701 speakers and there is a rattle

nothing can be done to case that is external features are left intact-even if there is a deformity. The only solution used by us is on the inside. access is usually by removing the speaker through screws and padding the inside with speaker insulation.pushed against the interior wall it eliminates any and all rattle.
