Normally this means that the power supply or the load is incorrect.
Have you very low impedance speakers ?
Have you tried disconnecting speakers from amp and powering it on.
If it does and you do not get any protection light you need to investigate your speakers.
Looks like the fuse blown.. or the classic symptom of electrical fault inside the amp. 640A uses a sensitive protection circuit often ends up in this irritating situation. Normally, there is nothing much you can do, but just check your wall plug connection for Open Ground or Left & Neutral reversed issues. If the wall plug is free of error, then you should better contact CA technical support.
HI...
ALL speakers need to be connected.
and if this has settings for 2 sets of speakers , , use the A spkr setting and the A output connects.
If still flashing , try just headphones. If still bad, it will need service.
PLease rate my help if this helps
The fault is on the amp! It sounds like the protection circuit is detecting a surge on the channel and shuts it down to protect the speaker. I would check the semiconductor device(s) for the right channel on the heatsink of the amp. You might even see damage of burning on one!
check your speaker wires for short, try to turn it on without speakers connected, if all connections and speakers
seem ok the problem is internal witch can go from blown power supply to
shorted output devices and everything in between , and as always look
for repair shop in your area, do not attempt to do it yourself, fire hazard and electric shock are the things we all want to avoid ;)
