You can't do this yourself. It needs to be carried out by professionals and is a 'clean room' with service techs in full dust proof protective wear. Send it to them.
Can you use Sigma lenses on Canon cameras?
Since Sigma lenses are made to be fully compatible with Canon cameras, they are backwards-compatible. This means that you can use a Sigma lens on a Canon DSLR camera. Similarly, the Sigma cameras are backwards-compatible with Canon lenses.
Macro adapter loses the AF feature.
Take it to a Qualified technician and get it fixed properly.
I have this same lens for my Pentax K3, its a very good lens and worth getting it fixed by a proper tech who knows what they are doing.
Put the data into a list using whatever scheme you prefer. Press STAT right-arrow to bring up the STAT CALC menu. Select "1-Var Stats" and specify the list containing the data. You'll get a screen showing the various statistical values. The population standard deviation is designated by a lowercase sigma.
All auto-focus lens have some sort of 'chip' inside .. Sigma 'reversed engineered' Canon's chip - however every time Canon brings out a new camera there is a chance the Sigma lens chip won't work (this is why you see lots of Sigma lens on eBay :-) )
IF you can prove you purchased your lens direct from an authorised Sigma dealer, Sigma will update the chip for free .. otherwise they charge about £35 .. you pay postage in both cases ..
