It depends on your jurisdiction and your calculator.

For example, I am in Ontario where the Harmonized Sales Tax is 13%.

To calculate the HST, you multiply the amount by 13/100 or 0.13. On some calculators, you can hit 13 then the percent key and it divides the number by 100.

To calculate the total including tax, add a 1 in front of the decimal. With 13% HST, you would use 1.13. So for a purchase of $100, you would get $113.

Good luck.

The manual for the casio 262 can be found here:

http://www.casio4business.com/sa/products/downloads/manuals/PCR262_E041206B.pdf

Go to Page 11 in the manual for an explanation on how to program your sales tax based on state tax rates or a flat rate percentage (say 7%).

Change tax rate oncalculator

Press the [ac] button, then press and hold the [tax+] button for a second or two. Then enter the tax rate you want as a percentage. You would enter 8.25% sales tax as 8.25 for instance. Then press the [%] key to set the rate. Notice that printed above the [tax+] button is "tax rate" and above the [%] key is "rate set" as a reminder of which key to press.

Hi.
It shouldn't be difficult, as this is a simple model. I need to know what sort of business it is used in, then I can help you to set it up the usual way. How many taxes do you have, and what percentages?
