SOURCE: I can't open my new Ultrex 2 Pressure cooker model 11302

It's almost certainly due to atmospheric pressure. Warm it slightly and it will open.

I had the same problem with an underwater dive torch. Left Johannesburg (1000 metres above sea level) and went to Mauritius (10 metres above sea level) and I couldn't open torch!

Pin fell out of the power pressure cooker xl....steam coming out of handle...how do I put it back in?

Hi,
There are two parts to the 'float valve' pin which has fallen out.
The pin itself pushes back in from the underside of the pan lid,
BUT,
there should be a clear silicone grommet or washer, which slides over the pin from the outside. This is what holds the 'float valve' pin in place & stops it falling into the pan in use.
If you've lost the original grommet in the washing-up, there might be a spare which came in the original box with the pan.
If not, you can order the replacements from the manufacturer or on eBay.

Best of luck.

I have a power cooker 6 quart digital pressure cooker. And the lid is stuck. my boyfriend added potatoes to the meat which caused the water level to go pass the fill line now the lid is stuck

Try two things one is the opposite of the other.
First try reheating the cooker , as it cools tap the side that might release the lock.

Or cool the lid down alot with ice cubes and see if that works. Just be careful of the electronics

Should there be a manual for my newvrussell Hobbs pressure cooker - as I cannot even open it!

You don't give us the model number of the cooker. Here's a link to a new RH cooker, might be yours. http://www.russellhobbs.co.za/media/32069/rhep7_instruction_manualhttp://www.russellhobbs.co.za/media/32069/rhep7_instruction_manual_rh_electric_pressure_cooker_6l_amended_as___25.02.16.pdf

To open the lid correctly: Hold the handle of lid, turn it anticlockwise until the "DOWN ARROW" mark on the edge of the lid matches up with the "UP ARROW" mark on the edge of the housing cover. Now lift the lid to open. Note: For new pressure cookers, the seal of the lid may be slightly stronger than normal and may be slightly difficult to unlock. Once the lid has been opened and closed several times, it will loosen up.

How do I remove a lid from a pot after it has been sealed by steam

What has likely happened is when the cooker heated up, the air expanded and escaped, when it cooled off, an air tight seal developed and the top acted as a valve and now the pressure is lower inside the cooker than outside. You need to break the vacuum... This may be done by gently prying the top a bit (carefully so as not to break it) or reheat the cooker. Is there liquid still inside? You could either turn it back on or possibly heat the entire cooker.

The recalled 8 qt ultrex ll pressure cooker model # 11302c will the lid come off on its own or does it just not lock while under pressure?

Halt, do not use this pressure cook. The lid is suspose to lock. This means the lid become a dangerous fly object if it came off under pressure, plus extremely hot boiling water and the contents of the pressure cooker. Beside possible dying from the lid, and if one survives the flying lid, one will be will scalded by the contents of the pressure cooker. Another pressure cooker manufactured in China. Sorry, GB...stewbison

I am confused is the russell hobbs slow cooker a slow cooker or is it a pressure cooker i am looking for a pressure cooker not a slow cooker

Russel Hobbs makes both a slow cooker and a pressure cooker - confusingly in Europe they call Slow Cookers pressure cookers. The only way to really tel is if there is a special lid with valves and locks (pressure cooker) not a glass or plain lid (slow cooker).

Displays E2 and E4 (5 qt Wolfgang Puck pressure cooker - silver) what section is problem mechanical or electronic?

I think E2 means open circuit in thermocouple in center of bottom. E4 means no contact on pressure sensing switch at edge of bottom. Mine had E4 error. Took out switch and used fine sandpaper to clean contact points. Now it works fine.
Remove 3 screws in bottom. Remove bottom cover by turning it ~1/4" to clear tabs. Remove switch at edge of bottom with two blue wires going to it. Clean contacts and replace.
