The adjuster itself may be damaged and needing to be replaced. Try to slightly bend the adjuster lever to increase the tension, if this does not work, the adjuster assembly would need to be replaced.

How can i open my old samsonite briefcase combination unknown

1. Pull the sliding side latch to the side,
as you would if you were opening the briefcase normally. Holding the latch in position, lightly roll your fingers
down over each numbered wheel to identify which one is the tightest. The tightest wheel will give the least when
you gently tug on it with your fingertip.
2. Set the tightest wheel to "0." Check the tightness of the other two wheels; if they still feel loose, click the zeroed lock to "1" and feel the other two wheels again. Keep going in this fashion until one of the other two wheels feels tight. When one of the other wheels becomes tight, the first wheel is set at the correct number.
3. Move on to the second tightened wheel, continuing to hold the side latch in place. Set it at "0" and check the final loose wheel. Keep adjusting the second wheel, as you did with the first until the third wheel feels tight.
4. Set the final wheel at "0" and adjust it until the briefcase's top latches pop open. Make sure the sliding side latch is still being held in place.
5. Reset the combination to numbers you'll remember in the future. Write them down and store them in a safe place, just in case.

How do I fix a front wheel on my lawnmower from falling off?

Most Lawn mower wheels are held on with special bolts. If your wheel is loose enough it falls off you need to make sure there are washers and a nut that goes on the inside of the wheel. Tighten it up real tight but don't strip the bolt.
If the bolt is stripped you may need to purchase a new bolt and nut.

You do not have to remove anything. Some have an adjustment at the top of the handle and those that don't can be made to work by shorting the cable on the top side or handle.

How do I repair height adjustment on a CMM1200?

The front wheels link to the height adjustment controlled at the right rear wheel. The spring loaded link arm attaches to a pin on the height adjustment control. The link arm has come off the pin.

Tools: Long shaft bladed screwdriver and a pry bar.

Adjust the rear height adjustment so the second to last notch is engaged.

Position yourself with one knee on the front deck. This will allow you to control the height of the front and the back-n-forth movement of the link arm.

Position the pry bar with the short "L" section upwards, under the lawnmower. This will allow you to control the side-to-side position of the link arm.

Insert the screwdriver from the rear of the lawnmower. The rear wheel axle can be used for leverage This will allow you to control the up-and-down position of the control arm.

A little perseverance and you will be able to position the link arm back on the pin. It may be useful to remove the plastic cover of the lawnmower to allow a better view of the mechanism and link arm

Poulan pro front wheel drive 22 inch mower. With height adjuster set to highest level, right front wheel keeps slipping out of the adjuster notch. Is there an adjustment screw somewhere?

Is the height adjuster tight on both sides? if loose the bolt holes may be elongated, both sides set the same? any wheel wobble indicating worn out wheels?.if it checks out as good put the machine an a known hard level surface such as a garage floor and check the clearance by turning the wheels by hand without putting pressure on them, If the wheel still slips the mowing deck may be warped or bent. if all wheels are original there shouldn`t be a question of mismatched wheels ie:different sizes.

Craftsman front wheel self-propelled, push mower: belt keeps slipping off tension pin. Also, the wheels don't rotate as rapidly as when I first bought it last year.

Make sure the pulleys are aligned perfectly straight and replace the old belt with a new one. The pulleys have an allan head set screw you need to loosen to adjust the pulley.
