I put my oven through the clean cycle. Worked great, ended, oven cooled off and the door opened. Now when I go to set the oven temp the clean light keeps coming on. What do I do?

Here are a couple of things to try:

1. Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
2. Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.

Hello - Before using the self-cleaning cycle of the appliance, remove the broiler pan and any utensils stored in the appliance. Also remove any excess spillovers in the oven cavity. Allow the oven to cool before cleaning. During the self-cleaning cycle, the outside of the wall oven can become very hot to the touch.

Typically to set the controls for a self-clean the first step is to confirm that the clock shows the correct time of the day. Press CLEAN. "---" appears in the display. Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW once. "3:00" appears in the display for a 3 hour cycle. To change to a 2 hour cycle press DOWN ARROW"2:00" appears in the display. As soon as the controls are set, the motor drive lock will begin to close automatically and the "LOCK" indicator light will flash. - Follow Door removal instruction from the manual.
- There is a screw at the end of the hinge that can be adjusted.
- Adjust the screw to desired height.
- Secure lock nut

Make sure you have everything out of the oven, including the oven racks.

How to self clean
If your model has a door latch, never force the latch handle. Forcing the handle will damage the door lock mechanism.
The oven door must be closed and all controls set correctly for the cycle to work properly.
Before a Clean Cycle
For the first self-clean cycle, we recommend
venting your kitchen with an open window
or using a ventilation fan or hood.
Remove any broiler pan, broiler grid, all
cookware, probe and any aluminum foil
from the oven—they cannot withstand the
high cleaning temperatures.
NOTE:
If your oven is equipped with nickel oven
shelves, remove them before you begin
the self-clean cycle.
If your oven is equipped with gray
porcelain-coated oven shelves, they may
be left in the oven during the self-clean
cycle.
Soil on the front frame of the range and
outside the gasket on the door will need to
be cleaned by hand. Clean these areas with
hot water, soap-filled scouring pads or
cleansers such as Soft Scrub®. Rinse well
with clean water and dry.
Do not clean the gasket. The fiberglass
material of the oven door gasket cannot
withstand abrasion. It is essential for the
gasket to remain intact. If you notice it
becoming worn or frayed, replace it.
Wipe up any heavy spillovers on the oven
bottom.
Make sure the oven light bulb cover is in
place and the oven light is off.
IMPORTANT: The health of some birds
is extremely sensitive to the fumes given
off during the self-cleaning cycle of any
range. Move birds to another well ventilated
room.
NOTE: Use caution when opening the upper

How to Set the Upper Oven for Cleaning

After a Clean Cycle
You may notice some white ash in the oven.
Wipe it up with a damp cloth after the
oven cools.
If white spots remain, remove them with a
soap-filled scouring pad and rinse thoroughly
with a vinegar and water mixture.
These deposits are usually a salt residue
that cannot be removed by the clean cycle.
If the oven is not clean after one clean cycle,
repeat the cycle.
You cannot set the oven for cooking until
the oven is cool enough for the door to
unlock.
While the oven is self-cleaning, you can
touch the Clock pad to display the time
of day. To return to the clean countdown,
touch the Cooking Time pad.
If the shelves become hard to slide, apply a
small amount of vegetable oil or cooking oil
to a paper towel and wipe the edges of the
oven shelves with the paper towel.

During the self clean cycle, oven temp will exceed 900 degrees F. At these temps, if you opened the door, the food inside would immediately catch on fire when the supply of oxygen hit it. When you turn your self clean cycle off, the oven door will remain locked until the internal temp drop below aprox. 550 degrees F for your safety. Once the oven cool below this temp, you will be able to start using the bake or broil again. This should be a Fix-Ya for your oven.

CAUTION: SHOULD AN OVEN FIRE OCCUR,
CLOSE THE OVEN DOOR AND TURN OFF THE
OVEN. IF THE FIRE CONTINUES, USE A FIRE
EXTINGUISHER. DO NOT PUT WATER OR FLOUR

Had this EXACT same problem the day before a party where I needed the oven for lots of baking.... Tried all sorts of things, was about to call a repair man- I FINALLY got it to open by following the first two directions for putting it into self clean mode (turned both knobs to CLEAN), then when it said to lock door I tried to move the lock lever and bam it worked! The AUTO-CLEAN cycle time is adjustable, from 2 hours
30 minutes and 4 hours 30 minutes in 15-minute increments.
Suggested clean times are 2 hours 30 minutes for light soil and

cycle is for cool down.

I have Jenn Air oven S136-C with a locking bar. After cleaning cycle wait for the oven to cool down and the lock light will go out (but the oven is not yet unlocked.) Set SELECTOR knob to OFF Set TEMPERATURE knob to CLEAN Press CANCEL button (on right) twice. Slide the locking bar to the left and the oven door will open.
