I'd go buy a Google Chromecast. It is a cheap effective way to connect your PC (or tablet or smartphone) to your TV, wirelessly.
It is a powered 'dongle' which plugs in to a HDMI port on the TV. You download and install the free Chromecast software to the PC and start it, then select the HDMI port on the TV.
This arrangement will then show on the TV anything which is on the PC monitor, be it streaming TV, movies, Youtube or whatever. Then all you need is to find the streaming service of your choice and sign up with a provider. Free-to-air TV is usually on the Net as well.

You aren't saying whether this is something new you are trying or if you've had NetFlix working and now it is not. If this is a new setup, you may have a problem with you ISP. Some ISPs limit the speeds that providers like NetFlix can transmit. You may also have too slow a connection to effectively stream Netflix.
Your other devices all buffer the signals internally. Your TV does not. Any disruptions in the continuity of the wireless signal show up as pauses and breaks in the streaming.
You can spend time trying to diagnose, and then changing WiFi channels But quite honestly, if you have neighbours who don't know or care about wireless then any fix you do will be undone because they'll just trample over your signal again.
Either go with a bit of cable (Ethernet cable) from the router to the TV, or buy some Ethernet of Power adapters (Homeplugs) and use them. Beware though, homeplugs radiate quite a bit of energy because they use the unshielded mains cable for transmission. They aren't as quick either as Ethernet cable direct because of the lag from the encryption/decryption and error correct processing.
Be sure the audio out from the roku or whatever box you are using is connected to an available input on the tv. Also, the tv must be set to the same input as you connected to.
There are no compatibility issues. In your BluRays HDMI audio settings set the audio out to PCM instead of bit stream. The TV cannot decode digital bit stream audio.
Try to change your streaming settings to WIFI. Follow this step
1. Go to Menu
2. Then tap SETTINGS
3. Tap Connectivity
4. Tap STREAMING SETTINGS
5. Choose WIFI
Enjoy Browsing!
I have the same BD player. I have a linksys WRT610N router and i use a D-Link DAP 1522 wireless bridge to connect the LG player on my N network. The Bridge works great. If you want to stream in HD you most definitely want to have an N network to handle the needed bandwidth. also YouTube streams wonderfully also.
