SOURCE: E2 error in smeg dishwasher

e2 is overfill or flooded base.
take the bottom front panel off and see if there is water in it and if so, mop it out. if it reoccurs, then you have a leak.
you will see a float device in the front approx middle and this is what actuates e2. if fault is intermittant, try putting a small weight on this - a washer for example.
if e2 is being caused by overfill and not a flooded base, then the water intake moulding needs replacing

SMEG DI612E Dishwasher not working, 5th LED flashing.

Page 39 and 40 (page numbers, not site numbering) of the manual has your flash codes, but your flashing doesn't exist. Try a reset, disconnect from the mains overnight. If that doesn't fix it, you need a service call.

Smeg Dwau6d15xt dishwasher stopped working

It sounds like you're experiencing multiple issues with your Smeg DWAU6D15XT dishwasher. The combination of non-responsive control buttons, unusual display behavior, and a stuck door mechanism could indicate a few different issues. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. **Power Reset:** You've already attempted this step, but it's worth mentioning again. Turning off the dishwasher at the wall for an extended period (such as overnight) can sometimes help reset electronic components.
2. **Check for Jammed Door Mechanism:** If the door won't close properly, it's possible that something is obstructing the door mechanism. Check for any objects or debris around the door or hinges that might be causing the issue. Gently clear any obstructions and try closing the door again.
3. **Check for Water Leaks:** Sometimes, water leaks can trigger safety mechanisms that prevent the dishwasher from operating. Look for signs of water around the base of the dishwasher and address any leaks you find.
4. **Check Child Lock Feature:** Some dishwashers have a child lock feature that can prevent the control buttons from responding. Check the user manual to see if your model has this feature and how to toggle it on or off.
5. **Inspect Door Latch:** The door latch is a crucial component for proper operation. Ensure that the latch is not damaged or misaligned. If it's not engaging properly, it can prevent the door from closing securely.
6. **Circuit Breaker:** Check the circuit breaker that supplies power to the dishwasher. If it has tripped, reset it and see if the dishwasher responds.
7. **Error Codes:** Some dishwashers display error codes when they encounter issues. Refer to the user manual for your dishwasher to interpret any error codes being displayed.
8. **Service Call:** If none of the above steps resolve the issues, it's advisable to contact Smeg's customer support or a professional appliance technician. They can diagnose and address more complex issues that require specialized knowledge and tools.
Before attempting any repairs, make sure to unplug the dishwasher or turn off its power supply to ensure your safety. If you're unsure about any aspect of troubleshooting or repair, it's best to seek professional assistance.

Smeg ST660 not starting

Switch the power off. Remove the 'built-in cupboard' panel from the front of the dishwasher and you should see the end of the timer spindle. With the power off you can turn this clockwise using another appliance knob or carefully with pliers. I think one 'start' position is with the flat section below the centre and horizontal. If the two lights are not on then try the 'start' button second from left to advance the timer.

SMEG Dishwasher - Water fill level is too low

Hi, I found your problem stuck here from one year ago.

I will post my solution the same, as reference for you and more users with same problem, apologies.

Re: smeg dishwasher fails to fill with enough water to sucessfully wash. It does put some water in.. but nowhere near enough.

Before checking parts inside the machine, ensure that water is coming from the faucet at the back with regular pressure.

To start check the water level sensor.

This is usually a floater sensor located on a side inside the dishwasher.

Check if water level is working properly, if the floater is getting stuck then that is the problem.

If the water level is OK, then the responsible is usually the inlet valve, or clogged inlet lines.

From description it looks more like a faulty water level.
