Smeg 18 in. DWF410SS Slim-Line Free-standing Dishwasher Questions & Answers
Smeg diswasher
Is there a buzzing noise from the bottom of the machine as soon as you turn the power on?
E8 states the diverter valve has a fault.
Turn the machine and water supply off.
You can feel which part was making the buzzing by carefully touching each part under the machine (caution: shock risk!) It's a flattened conical shape in the middle, with two hoses connected to it, one screw and 4 thin wires.
Undo the screw, pull the hoses off by pressing the clips together, and disconnect the multiplug for the wires. The motor simply clips off the grey gearbox, and the gearbox itself is clipped to the valve body and retained with two screws.
If the seals on the valve are stiff, work some silicone into both the main bearing seal and into the valve faces themselves and the diverter should be OK.
Fuse in plug keeps blowing
ot sounds like you have a short circuit or lose lead somewere on your machine, have it checked out by a engineer

I have a Smeg DWF410 dishwasher with error message
Hi,
E9 is a repetative E1 error - flood protection
activated. Check tray under machine for leaks. If dry, find youself a
nice long cable tie and lift the rubber flap at the back of the sump
moulding underr the filters. Proceed as if rodding out the drains -
you'll be surprised how much muck and goo comes out. Usually solves it.
If problem still persists, let me know.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
Spray arms don't spin on Smeg DWF 410 ss
Remove he wash arms and visually check for obstructions in the holes where water sprays out if any number of these are blocked it will happer the turning of the arms
NO WATER COMING THROUGH ON DISHWASHER JUST LOUD BUZZING NOISE
Check the instruction manual, Smeg often use the program lights to give an error code.
You'll have to first ensure that the valve is open where the supply
gets its water from the sink supply, and water is getting to the
dishwasher. There is a garden hose type swivel adapter after the valve,
right? Close the valve tightly- even if it scrapes the wood - and then
unscrew that hose coupling and see if the hose is full of water. Look
there for a strainer inside the hose that is clogged. Clean it. If that
is good, reconnect and ensure it's tight.Open the valve. Now check the
dishwasher to see if it's getting water. Then at the point where the
hose enters the dishwasher is a spring loaded hose ring coupling,
right? If not, and there's another garden hose adapter, remove that
(after turning off the water again)and see if there's a strainer there.
If water is supplied to the dishwasher okay, then it is probably the
electric solenoid valve inside the base of the dishwasher.
Dishwasher leaves residue in top rack only
Most cleaning problems are caused by the dishwasher not getting enough water.
It could be cause of the switch level, which control water level in the tub.
The switch level is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with your machine, but if you will open the rear panel you will find it easily.
Be aware you should discoonect the power cable !!!
Clear the tube (attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub) from any obstruction. In case it will not solve the problem, you should replace the switch.
Good luck !
It's stuck on Bio...
Here is the link to the user manual, hopefully this solves your problem else please ask again;
