Proscan 32'' VGA port; TV says not supported on VGA input

I have a mac mini and had it hooked up to my 26'' proscan tv but recently uprgraded. I now have a 32'' proscan tv and have it hooked up to my VGA input. When the computer first turns on it shows the gray screen with the apple logo. When is supposed to go to the login screen instead it goes to a blue screen where it says "not supported!" What do I need to do to make it work? Thanks for your help!

Sounds like your resolution on your computer is set too high for your tv to accept. Try putting your computer resolution down to 1024x768 or lower and see if that works.

I have a 32'' Proscan tv and there are a lot of red, white, and green hook ups in the back and i don't know which ones i used to hook up my Xbox 360.

Hi Nick,

as a rule, the simplest way to do it is to pick a set, the cables on the x-box will correspond with a set of inputs on the tv, they should be fairly clearly marked. I dont own one (ps3 boy I am afraid (it has blu ray lol)) I would have thought that your x-box would have a scart connector (large almost rectangular) on the cable, which will plug into a socket of the same size on the tv, but maybe not.

Hi,
This tv has 2 AV inputs at rear to connect dvd player or any other video source.
Plug RCA video cable in AV Input-1 at rear of tv and select Input-1 source in tv remote to get dvd player playback picture in tv.
Click HERE to download user manual free copy that has details about tv operations.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

"No Signal" Message when using HDMI Inputs on 26" Proscan LCD TV

You MUST get HDMI Driver for your Video Card, it is NOT standard. You need to go to PC makers web site and download latest Video Divers for your PC, then you must set up Multiple Desktops, To do that you must first connect the TV, but leave OFF, connect up to PC, reboot, setup Video Card, turn ON TV, TV will have already been detected, On PC, Share the desktop, or Clone, whatever you wish, now reboot after saving settings. Now you set the TV for HDMI already and it should show you a desktop when chosen. You must select and setup TV, FIRST, then connect the PC. From then on, Turn the TV ON, then turn the PC ON, that way it will Always detect the HDMI port.

Can I cnnect my pc to view on my proscan 32 LCD

Well I do, I mean I often connect up my PC & TV via my TV OUT, on my Video card, I hook it into my 2.4GHz Video AV "Sender" I simply use the PC's, Composite Output & the Stereo Out, audio, feed it into the Transmitter, & connect the Receiver to the TV's Composite IN & AV IN. Works great.

Proscan 32lb30Q. I need to hook up wireless

You can buy a digital to analogue converter that connects to your COAX digital output and then connects to you RCA jacks. They run around $75. The only problem I've encountered is the DVD does not work through the COAX output, just TV. I'm looking into it.

Proscan 32LB30Q - Troubleshooting

Costco has one of the most liberal return policies around. Simply take it back and get your money back telling them "it doesn't work" as long as you have had it less than a year. Then buy a different brand. You might try calling for customer support from the different brand before you buy.

Why won't my tv display my computer screen

Hi. The best way to hook your computers display to your LCD screen will be to use the VGA input socket. If your video card can support both S-video input and VGA, you can use either one but, the VGA is best for optimal resolution. This is the easy way to do this. Step one, connect the VGA cable to the computers video card and then, run the other end of this same cable to the VGA input slot on the LCD screen.Step 2, next you will make sure that the LCD's input selection is selected to show what is being transferred from the CPU video card by using the input button on the lcd remote control. The lcd(your tv) should be on VGA or PC input signal. Step 3, now, you Will have to also make sure that your video card is set to transfer this signal as well by pulling up your video cards software window and switch to the proper options. once this is done, you should get a signal. Be sure to use the VGA input/output ports on both the lcd television and your cpu for optimal transfer of the video stream. Here is a pic of your back panel. use the input port labeled I for good PC input quality.
