Why isn't remote working after battery replacement?

Getting power to unit, however had to replace battery for the remote and it is not working, is it because I am using a generic battery instead of CR2025

As long as the battery produces what the remote needs it should work. However the remote itself could be faulty. Or the remote sensor on your device could be faulty. Check that the old battery has not leaked and messed up the contacts. Plus the new battery is actually touching the contacts!

Our Kreisler air conditioner is rarely used, is 7 years old and will not switch on. The batteries have been renewed on the remote. Could it be the sensor in the unit? Do I need a service man?

The first thing I would suggest it to verify that power is provided to the unit. You should get a display on the face of the indoor unit if there is power. If there is power, try turning the outdoor unit off for a few seconds and back on to reset the controller. If your unit is like I think it is, the indoor unit receives its power and control signal from the outdoor unit, then the remote utilizes a rf signal to control the system. Also try new batteries in YOUR remote.

LG ac remote is not working, batteries have been replaced

Probably the fuse to the indoor unit must replace it. It's on the pcboard and it's from glass. Turn of the power and replace it.

Power locks will not unlock with the remote, remote is allright

Try replacing the remote battery and retrying as this is often the issue with remote central locking. The LED may light, but if signal strength isn't strong enough, then nothing is going to happen.

Do the locks lock with the remote?

Cant turn on magnavox digital converter box

sounds like you have a faulty box. or no power going to it. If the power button on the unit isn't turning it on or off then its your unit. if button on your unit is working then you will need a new remote. To purchase a new one try Replacement Remotes.

My remote control isn't work

Sometimes the battery connections become poor over the years resulting in no power to the unit, bad connections on the printed circuit board happen on ocassion.

Control wont change to other channels just back and forth to 2 channels

Asusi91,

Make sure the correct remote is being used for the TV in the room. To check the remote take it to your TV1 location and access the system information screen. There may be a "Sys Info" button on the front of the receiver, or you can press "Power" on the receiver then the "Up" arrow.

Once there pickup the remote that isn't working and press record three times. If a number changes on the bottom of the screen, try the remote and see if it's working. I would also recommend replacing the batteries just in case. If it continues, let me know here and we can see about getting a replacement out to you!

Remote control won,t work

This is how to complete a remote reset for a Sharp television:

Turn off the television if it is on. Unplug the television. Please leave it unplugged. Take the batteries out of the remote control. Leave the batteries out of the remote control. Is the television still unplugged? Yes? Good leave it that way. Are the batteries still out of the remote? Yes? Good leave them that way. Point the remote at the television's remote sensor. Hold the power button down for 30 seconds. Release it. Press and release each button on the remote control. Plug the television back in. Turn it on with the power button on the television itself. Replace the batteries. Try adjusting the volume. Hopefully the remote works. If it still doesn't work the remote sensor on the television could have gone out or you may need a new remote. http://www.sharpusa.com may have a remote you can order or http://www.replacementremotes.com but if that isn't the problem you may or may not be able to return the remote.

Changed the batteries, but still does not work. no sensor no matter how many buttons I push. Does it need to be reprogrammed?

It could be on another frequency, if there is a switch near the battery for the channel, slide it over. If there isn't get it replaced or get a universal remote.
