My mouse will suddenly stop moving new battery doesnt help

Wireless logitech mouse does not move. After I put in a new battery, it moves momentarily and then stops again. i've turned it off and then on again and that doesn't help either. I've only had it for a month or so.

Is there a resync button on the bottom and on the base station (that is on the end of the usb plug that you plug into your computer)? Press the one on the base station first, then the one on the mouse within a few seconds.

You could also:

Try another set of batteries.
Try another USB port.

Hi Melissa,
Check the batteries in the mouse itself, see that they haven't dislodged in the move, and make sure the mouse can find the sensor from the USB port. Let me know if that works. If not, I'll ask my son, he's a genius when it comes to that, he gave me his old Logi USB mouse cuz my old one failed too..
Hope this helps

Logitech MX mouse is irratic. when you move across the screen it moves, stops, moves, stops etc. If you move across the screen in a straight steady line it will do it in steps. Kinda like the computer...

Typical behavior for many wireless mice. Try using a piece of white copy paper instead of a mouse pad or whatever if you already aren't. Surface makes a difference with functionality and battery life with a wireless.
Hope this helps.

Logitech wireless optical mouse won't move computer cursor

Sometimes on wireless mice the contacts get warped or bent, so when you move it or set it down the batteries are not making full contact on both ends and the mouse loses power.

You can try adjusting the contacts or using a conductive material to make the contact (like a staple or paperclip), but you're probably better off spending the $10 or $20 to get a new mouse.

My Dell cordless mouse by Logitech will not point to where I need it. It will not go to where I want it without moving it all over the screen and sometimes that will not help. I have new batteries in it....

Make sure your mouse is as close to the wireless receiver as it can be. If you are in a officle multiple people can be using wireless and there's only so many channels. So put the wireless receiver right next to your mouse pad and reconnect the both of them.

Crazy mouse

For that problem I will suggest to use USB optical mouse. Besides, it cost chip and most of all its weightless than with battery wireless mouse. I have tried to use it and I totally satisfied with the result. Hope it help.

Wireless keyboard and optical mouse

Thanks! I fixed the problem by installing a USB mouse and using fn+f9. That unlocked the mouse so I could use the pointer leaving just the keyboard problem. I then tried reconnecting the wireless keyboard (by using the button on the receiver and under the keyboard) Hey Presto!!
