Wireless keyboard and optical mouse

I have a logitech 650 wireless keyboard with optical mouse. Ever since I changed the batteries in the mouse it will not work at all. I get the red light from the mouse, but it will not move my pointer. I have installed the batteries correctly. I have a similar problem when I turn on my computer. I get the usual 'log into Windows' screen (with the little box to click options) but my mouse is stuck and won't move. I have a Logitec wireless keyboard and mouse and have installed new batteries in both. The light is on in the wireless *thingy* and I've pressed the reconnect button...no joy! The pointer on my monitor just won't move.

Thanks! I fixed the problem by installing a USB mouse and using fn+f9. That unlocked the mouse so I could use the pointer leaving just the keyboard problem. I then tried reconnecting the wireless keyboard (by using the button on the receiver and under the keyboard) Hey Presto!!

Hello, I have a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. I changed the battery for the keyboard and now both are not working. I should install the driver again?

I just had the same problem. First of all, make sure the transmitter to the wireless keyboard and mouse is plugged in tightly to the computer. It's possible that you could have pulled on the wire without realizing it, and it's not plugged in tightly! Unplug and replug the transmitter anyway after you change the batteries for the wireless keyboard. Then, there's a button on the transmitter, press it for 3 seconds, then quickly press the small button on the keyboard for 3 seconds, (my small buttons are underneath my wireless keyboard and mouse, and I use the tip of a ball point pen to press them). Then do the same for the wireless mouse. This syncronizes and boots them to start.
I'm not sure about the driver, but try the above first, it worked for me after I changed the batteries on my wireless keyboard and mouse.

Mouse not working correctly

Your batteries could be getting low or your reciever could be too far away.

Logitech wireless keyboard not working

After changing the batteries and cleaning the corrosion out of the battery case, I pressed the connect button on the Logitech receiver, then the red restart button on the underside of the keyboard and it was fixed!

Logitech wireless mouse

The battery is under the top side of the mouse; use the tip of your fingernail to lift it up, pop it off gently; then you will see the battery inside.
