Try resetting by leaving disconnected completely from the mains for 2mins. Throughout this time frame keep your finger pressed on the power/standby button.

I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler and a cd is stuck in the stereo. I've tried disconnecting the battery and several other things. it still plays though

it needs to be serviced.
best is to , remove it and upgrade to a media center with no CD.
CD;s are dead. everyone use flash USB sticks now,
like 4000 songs on one stick easy.

the HEAD end CD player must be dismantled to find cause.
it can be simple (done many i have) or hard, expensive and hard to get parts. inside. or just a dirty switch.

Problem with car stereo

usually if the cd player goes you cannot repair them your self unless you know some where that repair them they dont last forever if you got to scrap yard the owner should be able to test it for you or give a few days warranty incase it doesent work could also try conecting straight to your car before paying for it or connecting it to another battery and putting an old disk in it me personally replace it with a better system they dont cost that mutch these days and can get an mp3 player can get all 6 disks on 1 disk so dont need the multi disk thing

The power on/standby button is flahing with red light.

Well as your problem need some technical assistance well here is the resolution.

well if you know how to open the DVD Player and if you have all the equipments to open it than an than only do it by your own otherwise go to the service center of Philips and ask them to fix it for you. They will surely charge for this if your warranty has period expired.

Well if you gonna do it by your own than follow the instructions and do it carefully.
  • Unplug the player from any electric connection.
  • Secondly Open up the top hood of the player with the use of proper screw driver.
  • Than Look for the tray weather it has stuck with some other part of the player or not.
  • If not than look for the CD weather it has stuck some where ?
  • When you find the real problem try to fix it if it is ok to do it by self otherwise don't.
  • Than remove the CD out of it.
  • And Simply retry to check weather everything is ok or not.
  • Than close the hood of the player and you are done with it.
Well if you still not able to do it or if you had any other quarries in your mind please do reply me.

My clarion CD player in my Nissan Primera P12 2004 will not eject the discs can this be rectified and would it be expensive.

Hi.

Check first that it is not a single disk stuck inside.

Try pressing repeatedly the eject button on the on dash player while at the same time you start the stereo.

If that does not work you can try disconnecting the car battery to reset the unit, and then attempt again the procedure above.

Remember that you may be asked stereo code after disconnecting battery, have it ready.

If still no luck, then the unit must be removed from the dash to be taken apart, so to remove the stuck disk.

In that case the repair may require replacement of CD drive unit or front panel. When disk does not exject repair done from a local technician may be expensive. Usually better replacing the whole stereo unit.

Regards.

PS: Here the procedure above illustrated in detail. The procedure is described for home DVD players, but it is the same on any optical unit, including in-dash stereo. Naturally , since the unit is an in-car system, you do not have power cord, but you will need to disconnect battery to reset the system: player system won't eject disk.

Stuck CD in the multi CD player of 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx

The only thing that is left for you to do is to remove the stereo and then disassemble it and remove it yourself. A little daunting but needs to be done. Sounds like it went in wrong and then became jammed
