Tip & How-To about Philips HTS3450 System

DVD player in my home theater system won't eject the disk inside.

When a disk is stuck inside the player , try following the procedure below:

Unplug power cord.
Plug back power.
Turn on the unit and press repeatedly the eject button at the same time. If you successeed in ejecting the disk before the player starts reading TOC(disk initial track), then the disk will eject.
If that does not work, then there is an internal fault, in that case the unit must be disassembled to remove the disk.

Hello,

I will advice you reset the printer, follow the steps below to reset the printer,

1. Without turning the unit off, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
2. Press and hold ?# and 6? keys.
3. While holding those keys plug the power cord back in.
4. Wait until the screen goes blank before you release those keys.

If that did not fix the problem, try this,

DVD door will not open and dvd not play. Just less than 12 monthes old. Brought in NZ.

Hi there ,

If there is a disk stuck inside, then try the following:

Unplug power cord.
Plug back, and then press repeatedly the eject button while the unit is starting up.
Do this a couple of times.

If the above did not work, or there is no disk stuck inside, then wiring to unit motor, or mechanics may be broken.
In that case the unit must be taken apart, removing screws at the back and sometimes at the bottom to take out the upper cover.

tray wont open on my philips cdr600 recorder , can it be fix

You can try the following:

Unplug power cord.
Plug back power cord.
Press start and push repeatedly the eject button while the unit is starting, before the Player start reading the CD.

Try this a couple of times.

if that does not work, then you will need to disassemble the unit, unplugging from power, and removing the screws at the bottom and at the back, to access the drive and remove disk manually.
