I would suggest contacting a sewing machine repair shop & ask them about the slow response of the screen, & see what they say & base your decision on that
If you bought the embroidery unit with the machine, I would try to take it back to the place of purchase & ask for a sewing tech to check the machine & unit for you. I recently had a similar issue with my machine-took it to a local bernina agent & within a week, it was back in my sewing room, at no cost to me. I hope this helps you, & yes I have a 180 with the embroidery unit like you mentioned
1st have clean all settings? a reset button is behind nerby the power connector.
2nd change wireless passkey(use WPA2 it´s safer) and very important the router password.
3rd reboot computer, then vista work well. (Its a Vista Defect, dont ask me why, but it´s true)
PSU could also be playing up and not giving correct voltage to motherboard - check outgoing voltage from PSU with voltmeter and check product standards for that model... If ok then it could be the motherboard itself - all it takes is a capacitor or transistor/logic gate(switch) and it will start behaving unusual...
yah thats very possible, think you have problems with your processor/cooling fan for the processor, remove your processor cooling fan and fix it properly if it does not work, change it and as well check your processor am 100% sure you problems revolves around you processor and its cooling fan thanks
