From your description, it seems like the phone is in fact powered on but is not displaying anything. This most likely means that the display (screen) became disconnected or is damaged. If you have AppleCare or your phone is less than a year old, you should take it into your nearest Apple Store. If neither of those apply to you, you should take it into a third party electronics repair shop and have them take a look at it for you.

The connector for display has likely separated when it was dropped.

The buzz is typical for a phone (iPhone or otherwise) to indicate that charger is connected, unless this preference has been turned off.

Connect your phone to your computer (iTunes), and backup all that you can. Then take it to repair shop / Apple Store to be fixed. If it cannot be fixed, and you get a replacement iPhone, your backup can be transferred to new phone.

My problem is quite similar... My iphone works in some parts of delhi and it shows no service for other parts of delhi... If i use idea sim on my iphone, it works absolutely fine... and if i use my airtel sim on any other phone then also things appear ok..

any ideas?
